Hair Color and Style: Kagura's hair color is a deep purple color that's about mid-back length. Her bangs are long enough to cover her forehead and just barely over her eyes, except on the left side where she allows it to grow long to cover the patch.
Facial features and Eye Color: A finely featured and pretty face if not for the seemingly continuous smirk on her lips. Kagura has naturally ruby red eyes, which she sometimes conceals with color changing contact lenses. Well singular in each case really considering she only has one eye. The left eye is covered with an eye patch because she lost it in a fight.
Skin Color and Build: Kagura has toned build with a fair complexion. Despite her rough disposition and history the woman has very few scars or injury related markings on her body except for the obvious. She's slender but with a slight amount of defined muscle, but Kagura isn't “buff” or as ripped as the rest of the marines around her.
Except for the missing eye, she has one other distinguishing feature and that's her artificial right arm. It's constructed of Assembled Titanium/aluminum with a reinforcing carbon nanotube mesh. The connection point is quite sophisticated and attaches directly to her neural connections, painful but effective. In the artificial arm, an NSP energy pistol has been built into the forearm to rise up and down as well as being fired by her neural input system with the battery slot built into her “bicep”. (Basically rise up and fire on mental command). It also has two telescopic spikes that extend 4.5” from the tip of her extended fingers. they come out from over the index and middle fingers.
She also has a tribal armband tattoo on the bicep of her left arm, it used to have meaning on her father's ship but not anymore.
As the daughter of a former pirate captain, Kagura's seen her fair share of combat and bloodshed as well as covert operations and can easily handle herself in both situations. What's this have to do with her personality you ask? Simple, everything in life influences the mentality of the person that experiences them. She's got a fiery attitude toward her own life and does whatever she feels like doing or could get away with. She's not above threatening lower ranked soldiers and even some higher rank ones; but that's only in a sarcastic or humorous fashion. With that said; the woman is pretty bold about herself and isn't afraid to get her hands dirty. But like everyone, there are some things Kagura's completely clueless about; namely things have to do with intimacy. This is because her old man was a major cockblock when anyone showed any interest in her at all, including superior officers.
Likes: Combat, target practice, blowing things up, bananas (not in the dirty sense pervert) and asserting her authority over lower ranked peons
Dislikes: Being someone else's slave, overly spicy food and “girly” things.
One of her goals is to work off the rest of the debt her pops owes and to eventually be a privateer of ship captain herself.
Kagura was born on a pirate ship in space, not directly on Nepleslia but her father was, at the time, a somewhat known pirate that specialized in smuggling. Usually the goods smuggled were contraband from various sources to the blackmarkets on Nepleslia. But that's beside the point; the girl is the daughter of a man that spent most of his life skirting the law. She'd grow up in a rough environment and thrived in the constant air of tension and the highs of scoring a big bounty. However, later on in her old man's life he decided to try and retire in relative peace and without too much trouble barking up his ass and joined the nepleslian military. He was trying to earn a better place in life for both of them and when he finally did retire as a Sub-Lieutenant at the age of 58, Kagura took up the challenge to finish the time. Her situation was one of almost constant hardship in having to deal with the way the marines acted at times. But when she lost both her right arm and left eye in a battle, she learned that the sense of “brotherhood” even extended to her. Kagura was hauled out of the combat zone by two of her comrades despite their wounds and quickly rushed to a medical unit. Sure, that made life a little easier and helped to acclimize to the way life ran on a ship. Eventually she'd grow to “be one of the guys” and didn't mind dealing with many of the stuff they did. Kagura grew a little more in terms of maturity but retained that fiery, ambitious personality of hers while maintaining a good sense of humor.
Kagura is familiar with basic radio operation and procedures and can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from other characters through headsets, ships, ground vehicles, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions. She's fluent in English and understands Japanese, but she can't speak it that well. She can speak and write both correctly and efficiently and can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc. The young woman is skilled in field communications and is proficient in all rudimentary forms of communication (hand signals, flashing lights, etc).
The young woman has received intensive hand-to-hand combat training (primarily focused on disabling and/or killing opponents) and has followed up that knowledge with a rigorous training program. Weapons she is trained in include pistols of all types, knives, grenades (and other forms of explosive weaponry) and rifles of all kinds. Kagura can repair weaponry with adequate tools and time. She is in excellent physical shape and has considerable endurance. Kagura is also able to pilot land-based power armors, but must rely on the suit’s A.I. to do anything advanced
She knows how to survive in hostile environments. Kagura can build shelters, hunt and forage for food, build a fire, etc. As a result of both experience and training, she can camouflage herself and is familiar with guerrilla warfare tactics.
Kagura can understand and give out tactical commands and work with her troop to follow those commands efficiently. She knows the importance of teamwork on the battlefield, has been intensively trained in discipline and morale, and is able to recognize the command structure even while under extreme pressure (combat, etc). Balfour is able to recognize ambush points. She knows basic math in order to calculate distances, etc, and can use a tactical map.
Kagura knows how to diagnose and treat conditions, apply first aid and emergency care (CPR, etc), and maintain her own cybernetic prosthetics. She's still learning more about dealing with field surgery as well as hospital procedures but Kagura is capable of basic stuff.
The young former pirate knows how to keep herself and others entertained with the ability to act and tell stories, as well as things like exotic/belly dancing. Kagura, however, has a sense of humor but doesn't really have much of a grasp of humor in terms of “standup” comedy. But that's not to say she doesn't try when the morale needs boosting.
She can do almost anything any conceptual thief could. Stealing, lying, cheating, seduction, picking locks and sleight of hand skill all come easily to her. This is a result of her past and experience on her pirating pop's ship and various small time ventures. She's quite streetwise as well and knows where not to go but as well as where to go to find information that might be useful
