Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko has had an extensive history based predominately in the Yamatai Star Empire. She has commanded fleets, formed and led the Motoyoshi Clan, built Motoyoshi Hanei Kaisha (a corporation) and ruled over the Yamatai Star Empire as Empress during an important period of transition.
Katsuko has participated in the creation of several offspring.

In YE 30, Katsuko confronted Emperor Ketsurui Uesu about the true origins of the The Great Plague of YE 08. Katsuko as a result became the Empress of Yamatai Star Empire. Following the acts of treason commited by her childern Motoyoshi Kiyoko and Motoyoshi Tio and their actions which triggered the formation of the United Outer Colonies Katsuko resigned to be succeeded by Her Imperial Majesty, Empress Himiko I of Yamatai. Facing dishonor for the actions of her children Katsuko abandoned the name of her once prestigious clan and joined the Ketsurui Clan at the invitation of Ketsurui Yui.
Founded in YE 28, The Motoyoshi Clan is a clan with a history of division and struggle. Elements of the clan exist within the Star Army of Yamatai and the United Outer Colonies after its split in YE 30. The clan is the only clan to date that has ruled the Star Army of Yamatai other than the Ketsurui Clan.
Motoyoshi Hanei Kaisha was established as the successor of Motoyoshi Fleet Yards in YE 34. Motoyoshi Hanei Kaisha was created following a deal which restored the corporation's namesake and rightful ownership, thanks to the generosity of Her Imperial Majesty, Empress Himiko I of Yamatai and the Tamahagane Clan.
