Kitano Ai is a Player Character played by Kyoki and is currently involved in the UCS Zenpyou plot.

Build and Skin Colour: Agile and supple, Ai is slightly shorter than the average neko, while her arms and legs are rather sinewy. Her skin is smooth and a fleshy pink.

Facial Features and Eye Colour: Ai features are sharp, yet still keep a youthful look. Her eyes are an icey blue.

Hair Colour and Style: Her hair is medium length, just going past the shoulders. She keeps her hair down, and decorates with a ribbon occasionally. Her hair is a silvery blue.

Personality: Ai is bi-polar at times, though not fully bi-polar.her moods shifting from one end of the spectrum to the other in a moment. She has a bit of a short temper, especially at those who complain about what she's doing. But she isn't always moody, she is most of the time cheerful, often getting to (or past) the point where it can get annoying. She is also quite eager and ready to learn new things. In combat, Ai is rather Blithe, meaning that she is very happy and cheerful no matter what the situation, often to the dismay of her squadmates.

Created by the Star Army, Ai was observed for a brief period of time, watching for any defects, before she was sent to basic training. She was trained at Educational Facility 1, 'Ichiban.' She developed her skills required as a soldier here, as well as her love of learning. There, she discovered her affinty with handling and taking care of weapons of many kinds.

By some twist of fate, the members of the 17th had all met up at the Kyoto Steakhouse. After a meal and discussion of what was to be expected, Ai went along with Natsuko and Galar to do some shopping. There, she bought her sword. They then went off to the hot springs.

Transferring to the YSS Akuro III, the mission was set for battle at Bizankro. But things turned. The 5xf force headed to Yamatai, and, after a tense standoff where Ai and the 17th guarded the Akuro III, leave was given.

A brief date between Ai and Galar. They headed to Kyoto but before anything could even really happen, before eating even, they were called back to the ship for an emergency situation.

The 17th descended upon Tokyo, where a group of Nepleslians and ID-SOLs took prisoners within an office building. After a couple brief battles, the hostages were saved, then sudden news. The UOC have broken away from Yamatai.

A brief time aboard the Akuro III again. After hearing news of Galar's leaving of the 17th and not joining the UOC, Ai took a big emotional hit. Then, once more, the 17th shipped off the Akuro III and joined the Chouteisha Squadron.

Ai and the newly dubbed Chouteisha Squadron were initially transferred to a live combat program to learn how to command. But, After a bit of shuffling around, they were sent to a rather disastrous mission where Ai lost her arm on Kennewes. Luckily, the squadron was taken out of combat thanks to the Greens.

Ai, after recovering from the Kennewes mission, was transferred to the Shambhai Leadership Academy. There, in addition to the officer training, she was the aerobics instructor for the Charlie Battalion. Somehow, she managed to pass well enough to be promoted to Sub-Lieutenant and was transfered to the UCS Zenpyou.

Ai has had training on fighting with and without weapons, such as knives,energy pistols, grenades, and energy rifles, in Yamataian conditions and zero-gravity. She has also received more extensive training on fighting with and using power armor.

Ai knows how to do basic radio operations, as well as communications with headsets, starships, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions. She is also fluent in English and Japanese.She can speak and write both correctly and efficiently and can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc. She also knows how to use telepathic communication.

Ai is capable of operating any computer system that uses the Kessaku OS, found on all Star Army starships. She is proficient in entering and/or searching for information.

Ai has learned mathematics, up to and including algebra and trigonometry.

Taking apart and putting things back together here and there, Ai has the basic ideas of how to do minor repairs to some common weapons in the SAoY.

Ai taught herself how to bake sweets (pastry stuffs); cookies, brownies, etc. She's not particularly good, but she can make some decent treats.

To have fun with people, Ai has taken up a knack for pick-pocketing things from people, just to tease them. Though she usually gives it back.

After the Chouteisha Squadron, Ai spent the next few months going through the Leadership Academy, which she graduated. While she's learned the concepts and training as an officer, she hasn't actually had live combat experience.

Aerobics, a miscellaneous hobby Ai picked up while at officer training. She picked it up naturally and eventually became an instructor.
