This Nekovalkyrja, Type 33 has deep, dark skin. She has a complexion like Coffee without cream and a deadpan stare to match it. Slightly narrow, her eyes are an icy blue and her long lashes shadow them heavily, making them a stunning sapphire. Her speech quickens as she goes along and can find herself near out of breath after a long statement or diatribe.

With hair like bubblegum and a lithe body, she stands at five and a half feet with a curvy body and petite arms and legs. Her hairstyle changes ever so often. She'll spend hours creating hundreds of fine braids or will wear it out, flowing like a waterfall to her waist.

Initially exuberant and ready and willing to smile at any given moment, she lost that luster when the 98 days were over and her nekovalkyrja boot camp friends and her parted ways. She then began her specialization in science and found a new joy in learning.

While learning the difference between sensor systems and forging a knowledge of chemistry, she found a deep love and understanding of science that usurped the pain of losing her neko friends. Studying took over her life and she became reclusive and less enthusiastic to make friends than she had been during socialization or training. Instead of developing a timidness, she became harshly over-critical of her classmates and had a knack for ruining small talk with a short-sighted comment, but engaged in deep discussion with those teaching her, finding wisdom in their words, instead of her classmates'.

There is no greater joy in life for her than to stare at the stars, deep in reverie.

Oshiro Masumi was born in YE 37 in the city of Tania on Yamatai (Planet). She spent one year at Star Army Academy, spending her extra time there specializing in science.

Upon embarking on the Eucharis, Oshiro Masumi was fitted for a Mindy 4, which she subsequently used on the Kuvexian space station that the Eucharis' away team struck. They were after a computer core and a Kuvexian technician, but communications with the Eucharis became jammed and there was little to be done. Using her leader support pack, Masumi was a part of the effort that successfully unjammed communications with the Eucharis. She also found a way to secure a technician, though they were never picked up by the fleet. The team made a jump with a computer core from the station and were then in open space. The core was destroyed in space and Masumi was hit by aether fire from a fighter.

Masumi patched herself up well enough to survive and was picked up by the Eucharis shortly thereafter. She found her way to the Medical Bay and was taken care of quickly and efficiently.

After arriving on Yamatai, Masumi found an outlet at VCE Cafe and replayed the incident outside of the Kuvexian space station over and over, trying to get it right.

She went to this cafe for weeks on end, until one day she held a lengthy conversation with another crew member. They then went out to play videogames and eventually, danced together at a club in Yamatai.

Around the same time, she met with crew members informally and got nowhere beyond saying a sorry diatribe.

Then, at the beach party on Hanako's World, she showed more of her self-contained personality.

Masumi spent a lot of time with Candon on missions of his own design and his station in Westerly space during shore leave.

After a draining mission on a metal planet, she was transferred to YSS Kaiyo II and then Fort Miller, where she was to begin work on a project she knew little about. That changed while there, but soon she was pulled away from her work to go back to the Kikyō Sector in order to work on HX-14 with Lisa Alice "Thorn" Ironhart.
