Before transferring his mind to a Minkan, Jason was around 5’7”. Weighing about 120 with brown bad eyes, he wasn’t the most physically fit. He was a slightly lighter shade of brown with dark brown curly hair that came about shoulder length. He had sharp nordic facial features, a relatively strong jaw, and high cheek bones. After his switch to the Minkan, his height increased to 5’10” and weighed 150. His muscles became larger and more defined. His hair also changed to black and was cut shorter with a fade while still being curly. His facial structure and skin tone were kept the same, as well as his eye color (though his vision became a perfect 20/20). His change to the military grade Minkan was easy with no cosmetic changes aside from the muscle size and definition increase, though that was standard with the change.
Jason is a strong willed, ambitious, go getter who is always determined to reach his goals. This can also be negatives as he can be hard headed and stubborn, similar to a donkey. He is very analytical in his decision making, thinking of possible outcomes and figuring which is more ideal for him. As he is very logical, it can be hard for him to empathize with people. He is also socially awkward in bigger groups (more than 4 people). In smaller groups however, he is just fine and can even flourish. In professional environments however,o the bigger group issue isn’t present as he finds it easier to relax. Jason has always been very confident, which just boosted after he transferred to a Minkan. His biggest motivation would be to make his parents proud, even if he didn't choose the career they would've liked for him. Overall, he is easy to get along with, though his humour especially can take an acquired taste.
Jason Saxmark was born in YE 20.
Jason was born on Planet Yamatai in the YE 20. Both of his parents were soldiers with the Star Army, both also finishing out as NCO's before finishing out their contract. This granted Jason the exposure to the Star Army from the time he was little. Instead of pushing him to join the military, they pushed for him to obtain an education. Their parenting mostly revolved around the education Jason received. They dreamed of him going down in history as one of the planet’s greatest scholars. As a young child, Jason was kept away from most trends, his parents making sure he didn’t grow a dependency on outside stimuli. Due in part to their guidance, and Jason’s own ability, he quickly proved himself to be smarter than most other kids. This trend followed him all throughout school, always ranking high among his classmates. He was aiming to attend the main university on the planet, and with his current grades, he was assured his spot. One day, he had left to attend a sort of orientation for potential students.
Once on campus however he ran into a couple of recruiters from the Star Army. The charismatic soldiers managed to rope Jason into a conversation about the history and benefits of joining the Star Army. At first, Jason wasn’t interested and made clear he was too young to enlist. (Though his 20th birthday was weeks away.) The recruiters continued, maybe they just felt the need to educate a young person on the Star Army, or maybe they had to meet some sort of quota. Whatever the reason, they went on long enough to mention being a part of the SAINT division.
Before this point, Jason had never thought about joining the military all that much. His parents never really even mentioned and if they did, they would always sort of deflect. Something about the prospect just clicked with him however. After his conversation with the recruiters, he never made it to that orientation. Instead he went home to research everything about the SAINT division and the Star Army. He quickly found the occupation desirable, though he also failed to understand the gravity of the situation and what it actually took. He decided to bring the idea to his parents who initially didn’t support it. After a very long discussion, they only agreed with the idea after a stipulation was created. Jason had to leave the Star Army after his first contract if he didn’t make past the SAINT selection course. They preferred him to pursue something they felt like he would enjoy, instead of falling “victim” to the machine that is the military. He agreed, and soon after he transferred his mind to a Minkan.
Following his 20th birthday, and graduation from high school, he met with the same recruiters from months before to enlist. He sent off to Basic within the month. At first, he found it sort of jarring, as it was completely different from his home life. After the first five days, he adjusted to the life and made his aspiration clear. SAINT was one of,if not the hardest occupation to break into and only the best were selected. Fortunately, Jason found himself in SELECT after Basic, proving to be one of the best recruits. The training was hard and diverse, not only being around other green recruits, but NCO and officers. Although they were never really on the same level with each other, Jason found it easy to become friends with them. The fact remained that they were all going through the same thing. Jason graduated from that, and earned his black jacket. He felt as if he was one of the lucky, but he also realized that luck had little to do with it. It was his hard work that got him through, and now all there was to do was to take that hard work to his first assignment.
Jason Saxmark is connected to: His immediate family, though he has no siblings.
