Akina is a NH-29 Nekovalkyrja serving in the Star Army of Yamatai. After an accident involving her own ship's PANTheon Integrated Electronics System (PANT-IES) system, the former Yamataian was been reactivated by a secret backup made by her fiancee, Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko.

Shimizu Akina Hime Taisho is a Player Character played by Miyako. As Taisho of the Fourth Standard Fleet, Akina was captured by NMX forces, and her current location is unknown. She is listed as MIA, but the remaining parts of her clan, led by the small force of Shimizu samurai, spirited the three sisters, and heirs to the house, away to grow up at an undisclosed location. All three girls, Akiko, Miu, and Ayano, mean the most to Akina, next to her absolute dedication to the Imperial Clan, and the Empire.
Akina's new NH-29 body is more of a hybrid of how she turned out after transferring bodies from a NH-17 to Yamataian form. Remaining attractive through all of the changes, her outward appearance is still almost the same as it was before (save a few less centimeters to her breasts). An entirely desirable face set by soft white skin frames Shimizu's light green, almost metallic eyes. Just below them on her nose, centered on the left nostril sits a tiny stick on stud, she can remove it and place a different colour on with a small applicator. Her beauty is still renowned throughout the Empire, and she kept her extra finger from the Yamataian form to keep playing her violin.
Her hair is rather long, in fact its lines of stark red move all the way down, stopping just above her nicely shaped behind. She often styles in accessories, but while it's straight, there's a slight wavy look that really works for her. Newly adorned bumps along her back mark the SPINE interface, otherwise her skin is soft to the touch and it so happens she doesn't have a standard production tattoo any longer.
Akina is a woman who believes heavily in the Star Army organization and ranks. She can become very calculating when she is focused. Akina feels very awkward when put into maternal situations. While not always letting on, she is overly concerned with her wardrobe, uniforms, and appearance. She prefers subtle allure to outright sexual advances in most cases. In her private life, Akina is contrastingly carefree. However, her playful tendencies and passion (and wry wit) often emerge during normal operations, she is typically less self-conscious when she feels comfortable with her assignment. On the whole, she is an energetic young Nekovalkryja. She is naturally fascinated by science, as was common with NH-17 models.
After coming to the 5th Expeditionary Fleet she fell in love with Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko, and is always motivated to be closer to her whenever there is any way possible. She is more prone to bend protocol privately thanks to that influence, but also to be more clear about her feelings because of it though much of her happiness now relies on one woman.
Water, heights, carnal pleasure, music, art, conversation, getting time in a Kylie once and a while, the beauty of space, clothes that make her feel good, and classy events.
Being stifled, people she dislikes being forward, arrogance, bad hygiene, being apart from Katsuko too long, the tone-deaf.
Having been a tech sentry and secondary armor pilot as an NH-17, Akina served in several War Fleets before the SMX invasion began, fighting the Elysians during several campaigns.
When the fleets were scaled back, Akina was transferred to Hoshi no Iori for NCO training. Reassigned to the Yumi battleship Turtle in the 34th War Fleet.
During a large skirmish with an SMX fleet, Akina was forced to take command of the damaged Turtle when the bridge officers were injured by phase Mishhu. This earned her a commission, shortly after an aptitude test she extended her obligation with the YSA, who sent her to War College in Kyoto, affiliated with the Star Army Academy.
Studied and trained intensely, finally graduating towards the end of the year. Transferred to a Yamataian body one curriculum cycle before graduation. Assigned to 5th Expeditionary fleet by special request, Akina became heavily involved in the YSS Akuro and the fleet itself, and found her heart with Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko. She was eventually made the Captain and promoted as such when Motoyoshi Taisho transferred her stationary headquarters to the Taiie no Iori, and she had proven herself.
After finding herself, Akina was eventually killed mid YE 28, when she came under the influence of a malfunctioning AI system and was killed by Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko during the 'Ichiro' incident when she had no other choice
Resurrected from secret ST backup data smuggled into her first gift from Katsuko. It was in the watchful care of her former 5th XF subordinate, Kage Yaichiro. She was soon placed in command of the Fourth Standard Fleet after spending time at the Palace with Katsuko. Before they left when Katsuko stepped down, she proposed, and they became engaged. Shortly after, Akina was pregnant with triplets.
After her fiancee disappeared again, she set into place the plan she had for the Shimizu clan with remnants of the 5th Expeditionary Fleet that had stayed in Yamatai, and their families. She established a new center at the Taiie Nebula, and dedicated the Iori there, 4th SF command, as Katsuko no Iori. While training her new staff, and other elements of the fleet, the 'Skadi' system was discovered, as they prepared to attend the 2nd International Relations Conference. They soon arrived for the long deliberations.
The NMX invade, and Akina goes into labour at the Second International Relations Conference.

Akina had hurriedly prepared a formal dining in for the crew, but someone had other plans! A large chunk of unsatisfied soldiers, nearly 19,000 members of the ship had been waiting, and as the night wore on and everyone was enjoying themselves, the lights turned out! The ship's AI had also been plunged into darkness, one that the XO would later name the Freya. Reports surfaced down that a large portion of the Akuro's power armours had been disabled. In fact not only were they defenseless, but after regrouping they quickly found getting to the AI core wouldn't be as easy as they had thought.Getting to the command stack would be perilous. A collection of officers and security personnel as well as those attending the dining in went into the darkened corridors. After finding a weapons locker, they fought their way through with several casualties and wounded soldiers. Katsuko and Akina's team penetrated the control room and re-took control of their ship, but the loss had already been great. From their safe location they ensured as order returned the remaining mutineers were stopped, and repairs were made.
Akina waited at one of the side entrances to the briefing room she had picked for her primary command crew to report to before the shift began. The KAMI eventually informed her when they arrived, and she began the briefing after the shift had taken their seats again. Announcing the outline for the meeting, Akina quickly informed everyone because of the uprising had taken a bad setback. To test them, she asked for suggestions on how to fix it, and still keep security procedures streamlined. After entertaining their ideas, Katsuko informed her she would meet her on the bridge. Moving on the woman described what she expected from the main duty shift's operators, and how important it was to the fleet. When there were no questions following her briefing, the XO dismissed them to the bridge.
Once the Admiral sat down, Akina began to help her begin operations while Motoyoshi scanned reports and modified fleet status. Calming down after her briefing, the strategist sent along all the updated procedures to fix the logistical problems they'd been having, and she listened idly as [Murasaki Aoiko] tried to calm a Yuumi captain having engine troubles. Activating the holo-display for the command stack as Katsuko got in the lift to see to the fleet deck, she decided to have some fun with drills. Ordering her one alert armour wing to stand down, so they would then finish dressing before being ordered back into them. It was a trick to keep bored personnel on their toes she had learned from her time on the Turtle, which she explained to the bridge crew with a smile.
When it was over, Katsuko had taken a station in the pit and was concentrated on more paperwork. The Yuumi's engine troubles reported back green and it went to rejoin the new Hummingbird's protection group. Signaling the fleet, Akina finished her other item for that since they were ready to move in formation. Adjusting several navigational vectors, the 5th Expeditionary Fleet completed orbital insertion around Taiie IV without any problems. As nominal operations prevailed, the officer ordered the 9th Akuro power armour wing down early after their ordeal of drills.
Switching channels, she had communications inform the 17th (on a mission planetside) the fleet was ready to render aid if it was needed while they surveyed the lush paradise below. After waiting far too long ordering drinks, Shimizu allowed them for the soldiers at the stations around her. Piping in music to the bridge, the peace was broken quickly enough. It was snowing, snowing on the Akuro! Akina's mood lifted as she listened to the problems of the cold storage unit. Putting Aoiko to the test, the proper teams were sent in to handle the problem. Ordering Jatsu at tactical to file a report of attack vectors that might pose a threat from their current vectors including some of her own simulations. The acting fleet Captain sent a Nozomi on a low orbital sweep of the planet below, and focused on her drink while picking through other status reports. When they were finished, she put her plan into action..
Akina relayed control to the Akuro's second bridge, and within moments an unidentified cluster of ships drew the attention of the entire bridge. It was a massive Nepleslian fleet including at least one Yuumi! They were outnumbered, and Akina played along and sounded general alarm as the simulated orders for full alert went out. Attempts to contact, or reason with the phantom fleet resulted in only taunts. As shots began being exchanged between the two fleets, boarding started to occur as the 5th was whittled down. The command officer was of course recording it for later, but she was soon using the bridge's holographic projectors for a trick! A LAMIA killed her, leaving them alone in command. Before long a MINDY (the only real one) 'killed' the Taisa's murderer. Within the space of minutes warning alerts raised. The Yuumi's main cannon fired. “YOU LOSE” appeared on all the displays before Akina appeared in her seat again, and she explained the training. There were mixed responses, and drinks were refilled around the bridge as the massive command deck returned to normal operations once Kastuko returned to her seat.
They were getting an upgrade, a massive surge of fleet numbers from Yamatai. And even better, the 17th was coming back. It was a good first ship, if entirely too eventful the change of command ceremony would be that evening, and they all had to make preparations.
One of the Yamataian's favorite pastimes (excluding the carnal) is playing her Yamatai violin. She is very fond of most forms of classical music, and has a flair for improvising; consequently her sight reading is sometimes spotty. Her voice is also something, and she went to the lengths of teaching herself finer points when caught singing in the shower by Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko when she was first aboard the Akuro.
Communication is an essential part of any operation, and the NH-29 is a perfect fit, even though Akina was recently transferred to this body type. Able to use any standard means of traffic on multiply levels while multi-tasking means the difference between life and death for many lives. She can communicate telepathically, and has never had a problem sloughing through paperwork. Fluent in both Japanese and English, she can fill out reports, official orders, and respond to various inputs while under fire or in nominal conditions.
Akina received extensive standard combat training upon her creation, followed by a rigorous training regiment. She is skilled and experienced in combat both in atmospheric conditions, with and without weapons. Weapons she has used in combat and/or trained with include energy pistols, knives, rifles, grenades, and power armor. She served as a power armour secondary and has put her combat experience to use in many battles.
Having her first duty assignment as a small warship pilot, Akina extended her proficiency to piloting larger cruisers. Her constant presence aboard a bridge (when not called to occasionally fight in a MINDY) helped her learn the practical flow of operations. Her high echelon studies and practical training came at the Kyoto War college, where the Neko learned the finer points of starship operations from the command seat.
Her experiences only broadened when she became the YSS Akuro's commanding officer and operations over most 5th XF battle groups.
Part of the rigorous study and training conducted at the Kyoto War College, Akina became more familiar with the intricacies of Yamatai law. This included preparing presentations on Yamatai law, regulation, policy, and Star Army history for large audiences of her peers and superior officers. Studies of current and former enemy tactics, fleet movements, and specifications were included for required memory work. She receives updates to supplement all her various intellectual pursuits to keep current.
Having gathered her experiences from many different NCO’s and officers while on assignment for the entirety of her life to compound on her strong command. This includes eves dropping on command decisions and making NCO level ones on occasion herself to pestering commanders in her free time. More than once she had to supplement a fallen comrade on the bridge or as a secondary Mindy pilot. Beyond her strong natural talent came the indoctrinated and intense study from her time on Yamatai, which introduced her to the nuances of command, and different styles of fleet, and inter-personal leadership, among other things taught.
Akina received basic mathematics training, to including up to algebra and trigonometry. She completed required calculus and applied mathematic (including physics) courses during her curriculum in Kyoto. This included advanced instruction, to better maximize her efficiency. With her mind now in an NH-29 body, she's able to make faster and faster connections than she was before.
Shimizu is both proficient and able to operate all systems using the Kessaku OS, and may interface her SPINE system with any compatible technologies to further enhance her ease of use with most standard YSA equipment. She can search for information and is trained in all capabilities and commands of many different systems, including the MEGAMI and integrated battle AI.
With the birth of her children, Akina is trying to balance her responsibilities to the Empire. She was involved in many different and diverse negotiations, including those with the heads and representatives of various nations at the Second International Relations Conference.
Putting some of her experience into training and off-hours research, Akina is learning formal methods for starship construction primarily, while looking at other sciences to include structures and the intricacies of general systems.
Receiving pay for her rank, Akina is also eligible for a 60% increase in pay due to her three children. Aside from that, she receives pay when Shimizu Advanced Space Industries turns a profit thanks to her actions, but avoids taking more than 100KS as pay for each cycle as company head. She normally spends that on buying lunch for the office staff. 700 KS a week goes to her Daughters as allowance, out of her personal accounts.
