Build and Skin Color: Rinako is a buxom Neko with the typical slender, athletic build of all of her kind with soft, peach colored skin and a fit physique.

Eyes and Facial Features: Rinako's comely face is heart-shaped with a sharp chin and high cheek bones. Her eyes are almond-shaped and dark brown with sweeping dark eyelashes that curl sensually at the tips. Rosebud lips of a pale red part easily in a smile beneath a gumdrop nose complete her pleasing coutenance.

Ears: Cat-like with soft brown fur

Hair Color and Style: Straight, shoulder length brown hair that is usually pulled up in a pony tail or bun if she is on duty or brushed out straight down when she is not.

Distinguishing Features: Her love of things mechanical has caused her to often have some type of spare part in one of her pockets or most typically a pair of work goggles shoved up onto her forehead, forcing her soft brown locks into a wild mess with unrestrainable strands hanging down around her eyes. It usually takes someone mentioning her goggles to get her to remove them. She is always spotlessly clean, her uniforms, tools, bunk and any other personal belongings maintained in the highest order of cleanliness.

Personality: Rinako is friendly, out-going and inquisitive almost to a fault, but is somewhat scattered brained concerning social engagements and formalities. She loves the thrumming hum of a fully operation and optimally performing Fold drive system and the maintenance of a spacecraft is the one thing she has a laser-like focus on. She enjoys reading, typically the latest technical manuals or the newest issue of Spacecraft 5.0, but she will read whatever the current most-talked about novel is. She is nieve about men and relationships but she does hope to one day find someone to settle down with provided they share a love for space-travel and mechanics. She will sometimes get to rambling on the various intracies of ship drives, Fold theory or some other random topic and ruin an otherwise wonderful evening for herself and her friends, although she doesn't find it that terrible.

There is an age-old stereotype that engineers are almost magically attracted to grease and various lubricants that stain and ruin clothing. This is the farthest thing from the truth for Rinako. Her cleaning habits border on an obsession and all of her personal items, uniforms, tools and anything she is working on look as if they just came from the factory.

Ketsurui Zaibatsu

Freshly graduated from her advanced engineering training, Rinako is ready to take her place on one of those marvelous starships that traverse the spacelanes in the blink of an eye. She doesn't have much history, having spent her first eight months of existence in first her basic training and then her engineering training, the only really pivotal thing to tell about Rinako is what pushed her into engineering. During her basic training a starship simulator malfunctioned and left the entire training crew, quite literaly, in the daark. This sparked something inside of Rinako to find out what happened and so she approached her instructor after power had been restored and the simulation completed, asking him what had happened, what caused it, could it happen again, a whole plethora of questions the instructor could not really answer. The instructor directed her to report to the engineering department and the rest is history. Her inquisitive nature lent itself perfectly to her newly chosen career as an engineer and the further her training went the further she fell in love with the mechanical side of ship life.
