Yuri in role-play

Yuri is an NPC. She is played by Jake (Doshii Jun).

Yuri's description

Yuri is a typical Nekovalkyrja, if a touch small, and all the typical adjectives apply — lithe, graceful, womanly but with a hint of waifish charm. Yuri has thick, deep blue hair, in a short ponytail that falls just below her neck. Her eyes are the color of dark cobalt. Her lips are a bit on the full side.

Yuri uses a wakizashi when necessary, but she prefers thrown weapons such as knives, stars and spikes.

Yuri's personality

Yuri was a brash person, but her time with the Samurai's more tactical (if bloodthirsty) units has cooled her into a fluid, silent and patient monitor-killer. She still shows her flair for feats of fancy and finesse, and still holds many as being below her skill. She believed her training partner, Kei, was one such person, and she showed it with hardly masked disdain at times.

Nowadays, she begrudgingly recognizes just how sharp her former partner was.

She is aware of her beauty and her abilities, and she does little to mitigate her arrogance.

Yuri's background

She was produced near the middle of YE 29. Yuri was a production-grade Samurai, crafted to someday become a Power Armor Pilot servicing the Ketsurui family on shipborne missions. She came out of the “vat” ready for the assignment, and was disappointed when she was informed there was actually training involved. No matter, she thought at the time. She'd breeze through. Perhaps karma interceded on purpose, assigning her to the Samurai Kôsuka.

The time with the Samurai proper didn't last. Within three years, she was sent to become gunsotsu.

That also didn't last, but not for lack of success. She returned to the Ketsurui, welcomed if given a slightly chilled greeting, until the Daimyo, Tsuya, approached her about joining a class she was developing for Samurai that rarely saw new recruits — the demon hunters.
