Zero Cross is a player character played by Tyler and is currently involved in the UCS Zenpyou plot.

Build and Skin Colour: Zero has a toned build with modestly defined muscles and a medium skintone with a bare touch of a tan.

Facial Features and Eye Colour: The young man looks like he's never smiled once in his entire life. He has a finely featured oval shaped face, His eyes are a Light blue.

Hair Colour and Style: His hair is is straight and generally cleanly cut, tapering to the base of the neck in the back with center parted bangs that drape over his brow. It is a mercury (Metallic Silver) color.

Distinguishing Features: Zero has a small tattoo on his forehead of the zodiac symbol for Taurus though some say it looks like a bird. The color is a solid blue.

Personality: Zero has a stoic, cold personality and is best described as a frozen ball of anger and hatred, as a result of his troubled childhood. He suffers from a mild case of autism in the form of Asperger's Syndrome, causing him to be “disconnected” from people around him. He doesn't make friends easily but does value what little he can manage in that way, even if it is offsetting for everyone. Because of this high value on friends, he's often willing to face extreme danger or inconvenience for their sakes. Despite his flaws, he's capable and reliable in the face of conflict and military life. He does have mild sociopathic tendencies though.

Likes: The sound of Running water, Watching Lightning storms, Conflict, Chocolate, and puppies. Dislikes: His family, yamatai in general, SAINT, Superior-minded nekos Goals: None currently. Hasn't decided on one.

Zero was an accident, a child born out of wedlock and unwanted by his mother. Thus named Zero, to represent the fact and always remind him that he meant “nothing” to her. On a world where everyone seemed to be connected to everyone else, he was ostracized by kids his own age growing up because of that fact. Never once in public did his mother ever show him any form of affection, she'd care because that's what was expected of her. But that's how life went on Nepleslia, the weakest or perceived weakest was the one who was left out.

He grew up never knowing the love of a mother, everytime he tried to be affectionate to her or wanted some from her…she'd whack him one, even in public. Whenever he got hurt in a fight at school or on the street; she only bandaged it up but didn't put any love into it. He'd grow up hating her after a while, being made painfully aware that she didn't want Zero. When Zero was 8 years old, he'd had enough of her and when she was asleep one night, he took a handgun she kept around the house and stuck it under her chin and pulled the trigger, blowing her brains out.

After that he took a few things, including all forms of money he could find. Once he left the house, he'd light it on fire and wrecked the place to make it look like a burglary gone bad. When the place was burning, Zero'd run off into the night in Funky City where he'd live on his own using the money he took. But on a frosty cold night, Zero would be found by a mob of nepleslians out looking for slaves to sell on the blackmarket.

Not wanting to be cold anymore, Zero put up little resistance but would later come to realize how bad an idea that was. Because the neko he'd be sold to would be largely the same except she at least showed some form of compassion…when he didn't piss her off. Zero would leave Nepleslia and journey to Yamatai where he'd live and learned through example and what little education he'd get. When he was 16 though, she'd grow tired of Zero's attitude of apathy and made him join the military. Telling him that his attitude would be quickly corrected there and she was right; it got enhanced and directed.

Zero would grow to absolutely hate Yamatai though, growing sick of the perfection it represented, his peers, most of them neko, treated him like he was a lesser being because of being Nepleslian, his opportunities to advance were always given to others. Despite feeling empty inside and wanting to just die, he didn't want to give these bitches the satisfaction of doing that; so instead he set off to shove it in their faces by improving his skills.

When the Species Restriction Act was passed, he'd bite the bullet; having no love for his own race and upgraded to Yamataian. Then when UOC broke off to form its own factional coalition; he'd switch again to Jiyuuian or was classified as one since they were the same species. Adjusting to the Peacekeeper mentality was a difficult switch for someone who largely didn't care about the plight of other people (but was learning through being around people that didn't ostracize him)

Zero is familiar with basic radio operation and procedures and can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from other characters through headsets, starships, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions. Zero is fluent in Nepleslian and Yamataian. He can speak and write both correctly and efficiently and can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc.

Zero received hand-to-hand combat training, followed up with a rigorous training program. He is skilled and experienced in combat both in Yamatai-like conditions and in zero-gravity, with and without weapons. Weapons he is trained in include energy pistols, knives, and power armor. He can also use Energy rifles and grenades in addition to the other weapons. Zero would train especially hard in this area, learning several martial arts styles including Sora Mai, Facets of Xinyu Liuhe with Kempo.

He is capable of operating any computer system that uses the Kessaku OS, found on all Star Army starships, as well as UOC systems. Zero is proficient in entering and/or searching for information.

All Peacekeepers know how to diagnose and treat minor conditions, apply first aid and emergency care (CPR, etc), and perform field surgery in emergency situations.

This character is familiar with the provisions of the Peacekeeper Charter of YE 30 and is familiar with the basic skills of negotiating, first contact, and psychology.

A skill vital to anyone who lives on their own, Zero figured it out through experience and the fact he was forced into a life of beinga house keeper for a long time. He can easily take care of himself and often prefers to do his own thing most of the time.

A skill Zero learned from his short time living on the streets and later on enhancing it by practice on leave times. He's ambidexterous and is very capable of sleight of hand tricks as well as lockpicking.
