Long green hair frames light blue eyes and a cute lightly tanned skin, her hair tends to either be done in an intricate braid or left in a simple ponytail. Rarely is it left down and free. A smaller body frame, lithe and unassuming.

She puts on a strong front and is viewed as bombastic at times. She has become a close friend with Ieyasu Taro after some of the more tragic events of the fifth fleet. Since the split of the fifth fleet and Katsuko's resignation as Empress, Eri toned down some and simply worked. She lost some of her personality and focused, though stayed in touch with her friend, but with the reemergence of Katsuko and her taking control of the seventh fleet, Eri has let some of her personality shine through again. Now she strives to make the Seventh Fleet the pride of the Military

Motoyoshi Eri was born in YE 27.

Eri served with the fifth fleet since it's inception and rose the ranks within the fleet on the coattails of death. She viewed this process with a bit of quiet depression as she never felt she was worthy, only a necessity. As she rose she befriended a few close people, including Ieyasu Taro and Motoyoshi Katsuko. The latter she followed to the fifth fleet when Katsuko took it over and worked there as a close aide and leader of a cruiser group. She found herself angry with much of the fifth fleet as they left and instead of following many of her friends, she opted to move to the seventh fleet. As Katsuko disappeared into the KFY to work after she stepped down as Empress, Eri worked herself to the bone within the seventh fleet which she was silently pleased to find Katsuko take over as she reemerged into the world from her hiding. She became fiercely loyal to the woman and followed her even as she went to take command of the first expeditionary fleet and has been under her after Katsuko adopted her into the Motoyoshi family as her sister.

Eri can speak Trade, Yamatiago, and Lorathi from her time spent in the fifth fleet and working with the race. She is able to send messages and use starship communication-based systems as needed.

Though at first finding herself feeling like she was more a need for a body in the command chair rather than an actual officer, Eri has fallen into the role fairly well. She is able to lead her crew and has done so for a number of years with pride after she began to feel more worth the rank she held.

Being a starship captain and an officer has pushed her to be far more diplomatic in her approach to things then she had been in the past and made her think things through. She's also taken an interest in psychology as she worked through her own issues, and tends to be a listening ear for her crew when they need. She is loyal to her crew and makes sure they are well looked after through the stresses of war.

Eri has an understanding of Yamataian law and the history of her nation, having lived through quite a few of the battles and wars they had fought.

As the captain of a few ships, Eri has learned to pilot the ship on her own in times of need. She is able to plot courses, pilot the ship, plan jumps, and anything else needed of her.

Eri tends to enjoy playing more classical instruments. Her preference being string instruments, she is able to play a wide range of them though tends to favor the Koto and Shamisen. She can also play the guitar but usually refrains as she doesn't find the same enjoyment in it.

Eri loves to cook. Whether it is a main dish or a dessert, she loves to experiment in the kitchen much to the disdain of her kitchen staff and sometimes even her crew as she forces her experiments on them. She tends to break SA Regulations at times about food on the bridge when she brings small snacks to her seat.
