Nasrin is a rather adventurous young woman who always seems to be sporting a scrape or bruise along with a bright, nearly ever-present smile. She has a number of scars from various mishaps including a thick scar that stretches across both shoulder blades. Though her preference for short hair and trousers, she still comes over distinctly feminine. She is rather tall with an athletic build and an acrobat's grace from years climbing the maintenance passages on her father’s Smuggling ship. An experience that also gave her a somewhat warped view of rules and authority.

As a child , she was regularly teased about the dusting of freckles across her tan face and shoulders. Tokens of her father’s fringe world heritage. As she grew into her teens and took to space with her father, she developed a defiant sort of pride in her freckles. They were different, she was learning to enjoy being different.

As a student, Nasrin was more than a little inconsistent. If a lesson managed to keep her attention, she excels, but as soon as the lesson loses her interest, she can become easily distracted, to the point of disruptiveness. She’s a hyper active young woman who enjoys climbing and swimming as well as sneaking out to cause trouble. During her time in Basic, she garnered a reputation as a prankster.

Nasrin Naceri was born in Funky City in YE 23. After the early death of her mother, Nasrin was raised by her grandmother, a famed Nepleslian fashion designer. By the time Nasrin reached her early teens, her grandmother (the only family she had) fell ill. She worried that after her death, Nasrin would fall victim to the chaotic streets of Funky City. So she reached out to Nasrin’s father to raise the girl. Though she had no love for the man, nor his profession, he was the only person she could trust to watch over Nasrin. If the smuggler wouldn’t take care of the girl because she was his flesh and blood, he would do so out of love for his dead lover.

Nasrin worked on her domineering father’s ship until her 21st birthday when she ran away to enlist in the Yamatai Star Army and forge her own future.
