Xu Yanfei is a very tall woman standing at 215cm. She possesses a slender but athletic build with light creamy skin with a hint of yellow. Her large (in relation to her huge size) breasts are of the D cup category.

Yanfei has brown hair that she often keeps long. To deal with it, she often ups her hair up in large pony tails or a tight bun.

Yanfei has red almond shaped eyes typical of her ethnic group (Lianjia). Diamond shaped face with broad nose that comes to a point. Full and wide lips.

Xu Yanfei can be best described as a quiet (not shy) hard worker that is working to complete things to perfection. Not that because she is perfectionist, but because she knows people will not bother her when she is slacking off with junk food to relax. Though the relaxation usually involves her reading on the latest engineering, chemistry, and xenobiologist journals while doing so. She feels like she must be always learning and applying that knowledge.

Yanfei was born into the Nepleslian Reds, thus she exhibits strong individualism and the belief that while you are stronger together, you have to pull your own weight. The anti-authority streak seen in a lot of Reds does not really exist within Yanfei, allowing her to survive her time in the Star Army of Yamatai unscathed.

During her time with the SAoY, she has always maintained a cool, but professional relationship with Minkan and Nekovalkyrja. She has never been jealous of their abilities as she could adopt with intensive implants, it was the culture that always rubbed her the wrong way. She always felt like she was walking on eggshells to make sure she did not incur the wrath of the Nekos who a lot of already thought she was uncultured due to her background. If she has a choice between socializing with a Rixxikor and a Neko/Minkan, she will always choose the Rixxikor.

Xu Yanfei was born in YE 14 on Kennewes to a clone and the rare female of the Nepleslian Reds. She moved to Fujiko with other orphans in YE 30. Due to the rough economic conditions the exiled Reds were experiencing, Yanfei did not receive a formal education from the ages 16 to 21. Instead she found herself working in the mines with others in order to make a living for her herself. Though her mechanical aptitude in troubleshooting, fixing, and jury-rigging equipment that breaks down caught the attention of her foreman.

A Neko ex combat engineer that liked to make use of her engineered abilities, she would take the time to educate the young Yanfei so she wouldn't completely fall behind like her peers. Stories the woman told of her wars against the Elysian and the Mishhuvurthyar inspired her to eventually enlist into the Star Army of Yamatai as a Combat Engineer and Ship Technician qualifications later on.

She missed the Second Mishhuvurthyar War, thus a large portion of her time could be dedicated to rebuilding and providing humanitarian aid to the Jiyuuian refugees remaining. As the work became less and less needed, she found herself with more and more time to work on personal projects. One notable project involved figuring out how to increase the mining efficiency of her fellow Reds back home without making use of bulky power armor. It did not really come of anything, but she gain a lot of motivation to pursue a degree via remote classes in Chemistry and Mechanical Engineering.

When the Kuvexian War broke out, she found herself on the front lines with the Star Army Rikugun. But towards the middle of the war when losses were stacking higher, she was briefly retrained and assigned into the role as a Ship Technician. It was felt that her skills would benefit the Navy more than the Rikugun, much to the protest of her centurion. At the end of the war, she decided she needed a new direction in life. She exited the Star Army of Yamatai as a Nito Heisho.

She was hired by the Ryu Keiretsu during on of their hiring blitz at the beginning of YE 43. Finishing her formal education, the Keiretsu decided to add her to their Ryu Heavy Industries' Advanced Design Group due to her engineering experience.
