Hair Color and Style: Yaiba has long, straight, raven black hair that runs down to the bottom of her shoulder blades. When on duty she keeps it up in a bun.

Distinguishing Features:

Personality: Yaiba is a rather direct person, and not afraid to share her opinions. She looks for challenges. Especially ones that she feels will help make her a better soldier. Her opinion is that Star Army of Yamatai should be for Nekovalkyrja only. It is what they were bred to do, and why they exist. But she is professional enough that she will work with whomever she must to complete the mission.

• YE 29 Yaiba was created in the 10th day of the first month of YE 29. She spent the next four months at Educational Facility 1 receiving her training for service in the Star Army of Yamatai. She was assigned to a Yui-class Scout and entered the war against the SMX. Being Star Army Infantry she fought in space and on the ground. Later that year she was transferred to a Nozomi-class Scout when the Yui-class Scout was heavily damaged.
• YE 30 Yaiba spent most of this year assigned to a Plumeria-class (2D) Medium Gunship but with the war over she spent most of the time training and drilling.
• YE 31 Yaiba was stationed on Kazumi as part of the defense force stationed there. When the evacuation order came she was part of the security team that accompanied the civilians leaving aboard the YSS Freedom.
• After abandoning ship from the YSS Freedom the survivors their way to high ground. The camp was later shelled by NMX artillery, destroying the vehicles, and most of their supplies. Most of the survivors were stunned from the proximity of the blast. While trying to retrieve her possessions Yaiba was shot in the abdomen by a sniper. After the sniper attack, local inhabitants found the survivors and lead them to their village. After recovery Yaiba and several other survivors learned that a SAINT operative was on the planet and supplying the villagers with food and equipment. Yaiba, the survivors and several of the natives left the camp to investigate the NMX presence in the city. The purpose of the group was to evaluate how strong the NMX presence was, and what possible action could be taken. The investigation went bad before they ever got near the city, and the group was scattered.
• After the failed investigation, Yaiba was engaging in a guerrilla style harassment of the NMX forces. During this time she never saw any of the other survivors who were later rescued. She found several 'survivors' from the crash who had been caught by the NMX. Most were too badly injured to survive, so in those cases she had no choice but to stay with them until they died. The few that were able, she got to one of the nearby villages. She spent the past six months with two natives (Ixta and Dilka) who travel with her, and had not seen any other people other than NMX sympathizers, or their victims.

Yaiba is on Yamatai (Planet) working out the details of her new life.

• YE 33 while on LOA, she accepted a position at Nishitama to help test out some new equipment. During the first test of the pod features they encountered a rogue starship and stopped it. During the first flying in the LAMIA Kai in the nebula in KMS, they went to an abandoned SMX warship, and encountered persons unknown there.

• YE 34 Yaiba began the year still working at Nishitama, trying to help route out the traitorous Tachibana Clan. The conflict turned nearly disastrous as the rogue clan chose to release their bio-weapon inside of Nishitama. Yaiba came up with the idea of using the stations security systems to thwart this and suggested that they vent to station. While that was preparing to take place, she and her team mates went to rescue Yamatai Interstellar News Network (YINN) personnel who had been taken hostage. While the surviving hostages were rescued the building was a loss, but having the station lower the gravity in that area, both the team precious seconds.

• Yaiba is currently on the YSS Sakura II Plot her future uncertain.

At the start of the last month of YE 34 Yaiba chose to leave the Star Army and start a new life as a civilian. She has traveled to Yamatai to out-process and transfer to a Minkan maintaining her original appearance.

Yaiba is familiar with basic radio operation and procedures and can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from other characters through headsets, starships, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions. Yabia is fluent in Nepleslian and Yamataian. She can speak and write both correctly and efficiently and can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc. She is also able to transmit and receive telepathic communications.

Yaiba received hand-to-hand combat training, followed up with a rigorous training program. She is skilled and experienced in combat both in Yamatai-like conditions and in zero-gravity, with and without weapons. Weapons she is trained in include energy pistols, knives including throwing, and power armor. She has actual combat experience in the First Mishhu War that added to her proficiency.

Yaiba is capable of operating any computer system that uses the Kessaku OS, found on all Star Army starships. She is proficient in entering and/or searching for information. As an Infantry person she does not see the for more that this.

Yaiba received mathematics training, to including up to algebra, geometry and trigonometry and a bit of calculus.

Yaiba during the war trained to become a combat engineer and learned to handle explosives. She is capable of setting charges, disarming devices. Yaiba can identify most common explosives, how to handle, and dispose of them safely. With the right resources she can even manufacture simple explosives.

Yaiba knows how to live of the land, finding water, foraging and hunting are within her training. She is also capable of land navigation, shelter construction, signaling, camouflage.

Yaiba enjoys cross-country running. She enjoys the feeling of freedom, and the challenges of the terrain.
