One of the first weapons designed by Aster Blake as part of her internship in YE 39 with Section 6 Weapons Development Department (S6-WDD) under the guidance of Jack Pine and Rose Ironhart-Pine to be a domestically produced modular weapon system, conceptually inspired by Origin Industries' Showstopper. The “Maverick” saw early production in YE 40 for further field testing by Section 6's Saber Special Forces.

Aster Blake liked the idea of the Showstopper but thought that a domestically produced weapon of that particular caliber would be useful in multiple configurations: pistol; carbine and sniper rifle. Aster had also been tasked with making a plasma variant of the weapon. Not having the materials readily available nor the experience necessary to make Plasma rounds, she looked through various online message boards and advertisements until she found the 8x35mm SLAG round.

The young designer was thrilled when the companies she contacted were receptive to working with her and providing her the requested components she needed to make the MAVERICK a multi-function, “frankengun”.

The MAVERICK has 3 general configurations available that retain the same rectangular magazine well forward of a trigger that functions as a trigger guard and a straight pistol grip. The upper receiver can be changed out and further accessorized for the user to have more versatility in their gun configuration and the ammunition that it can be used. The iron sights rest half-way between the grip and the magazine well at the top rear of the weapon that can also function as a mounting point for a more advanced sight. The default color of the MAVERICK is silver. The MAVERICK is also available in tactical blue; camouflage pattern (various) and light pink.

• Pistol: Upper receiver has a distinctive 3 rectangular cut outs in front of a boxy barrel with a rectangular magazine well forward of the trigger and a straight pistol grip.

• Carbine: Built upon the body of the pistol variant with the addition a longer barrel; rear butt-stock and forward pistol grip.

• Sniper Rifle: Built upon the body of the pistol variant with the addition a much longer barrel than the carbine with a flash suppressor at the muzzle; rear butt-stock and forward pistol grip.

Sniper (MWS1-HSR) Configuration

• Muzzle Flash: Upon firing, the rifle emits a flash with a bright yellow-orange color.
• Retort: It is low and deep with a little 'rasp' created from the friction between the round and barrel during firing.
• Projectile Appearance: The large ammunition typically gives off an orange-yellow 'tracer' effect due to actual tracer components installed on the rounds or as a result of incendiary compounds present. A faint smoke trail is also visible due to the larger amounts of tracer or incendiary compounds present on the rounds, but is only visible from a relatively close perspective in relation to where the bullet has passed.
• Effective Range: 250-1000m (variable based on barrel configuration, short barreled on the low end and sniper configuration on the high end)
• Rate of Fire: 8 Rounds Per Second, Approx. 500 Rounds Per Minute
• Recoil: Varies depending on barrel configuration, recoil will be stronger with longer barrels; short barrel carbine configuration the recoil causes the weapon to jump upwards and back while the sniper configuration recoils straight back with more stability from the additional weight distribution.

The Origin 12.7x50mm Electromagnetic made by Origin Industries was designed to leave large, gaping wounds in targets while ignoring most things in the way such as body armor plates or the chitinous shells on Mishhuvurthyar.

• Purpose: Tier 2
• Round Capacity: 30 round magazine

11.5×31.2mm SLAG is simply a 8x35mm round made into 11.5 x 31.2mm size at the request of Belinda Blake for Aster Blake.

• Firing Mechanism: Upon pulling the trigger, an electrical current from the capacitor or battery in the magazine is sent through the superconductive rails, sending the projectile down the barrel at high velocity and downrange towards the target. The electromechanically driven bolt rapidly retracts from this same repulsive force used the propel the projectile, allowing the magazine to feed up the next bullet. The bolt is then driven forward, shoving the round into the breech. This process is not repeated until a certain time delay passes, upon which it will fire again when the trigger is pulled in semi-automatic mode, or when the timing between rounds matches the programmed rate of fire.
• Loading: Bullets are loaded into the magazine through conventional methods by either using a speedloader or by traditionally pushing rounds past the magazine lips by hand. Though this process is fairly standard, the magazines must have their integrated batteries or capacitors charged as well before being loaded into the weapon; without both a charged battery and ammunition within the magazine, the firearm will not function.

Inserting the magazine is a straightforward procedure where it is simply inserted up into the magazine well until secure, and does not require any rocking to lock it into place. A round may be chambered by pulling back the charging handle and letting go, allowing the mechanisms to drive the bolt forward. Despite this, the firearm may be fired without doing so; by ensuring the safety is off and pulling the trigger, the weapon will automatically fire normally, with the first shot being 'blank'. Reloading is a simple procedure consisting of pushing the magazine release button and inserting a new, loaded and charged magazine into the magazine well before repeating the above procedure.
