The control system consists of a pair of computers, a data storage unit, and an emergency power cell. It communicates with the body via the EM-J2-E3401 Neural Network.
This is a pair of compact quantum computers. They form the infrastructure for the artificial intelligence that makes the EM-J2 Series so useful. The core member and 'autonomous' system is located in the torso. The consciousness is located in the skull.
The E3400 features two kinds of storage: short term and long term.
The short term storage uses conventional memory; it is capable of holding several hours of the EM-J2 most recent sensor logs and activities.
The long term storage in which it preserves memories 3D optical data storage, the heart of which is a flawless manufactured diamond Icosahedron 5cm in diameter. Around the crystal is an array of lasers which encode the data. This system gives the EM-J2 nearly instantaneous access to its massive data repository.
The short term memory is transferred to the long term in regular intervals automatically. However, the EM-J2 can adjust the frequency.
Note: An EM-J2 with a EM-J2-E3405 SACNES Interface that is active will not transfer sensitive data into its long term memory.
While the memory of the E3400 is safe from power loss, the system is equipped with a rechargeable power cell. In the event of a catastrophic failure of the EM-J2-G3400 Power System, the power cell gives the EM-J2-E3400 enough power to safely power down the system and put it in a standby state.
