The Type 32 Light Point Defense Turret is a compact-yet-powerful turret designed by Project THOUGHT in YE 32 and tested on the Tsubame Prototype Fighter. The design based on the larger Double Turrets on the Ke-V6-1D "Hayabusa" Starfighter and has roughly the same range of motion and tracking. It is less powerful, but intended for more compact fighters with a size of roughly 5 meters. This point defense solution is designed to provide optimal weapons coverage from a relatively small point, be it from Power Armor or from missiles.

This turret makes use of either the Project THOUGHT Frictionless Hybrid Joint or the Project THOUGHT Simplified Joint, and has faster and more precise target acquisition and tracking than many other earlier turret designs.
