Designed in YE 32 by Origin Industries, the Heavy Pulse Laser Cannon is a heavy, shoulder-held anti-ship weapon, created to give Origin Powered Frames added firepower against the small star ships used by pirates and NMX landing forces. Based off a cannibalized Origin Heavy Laser Turret, the Heavy Pulse Laser Cannon has a slightly higher rate of fire, but has a much shorter range and lesser damage output. The HPLC does have the benefit of giving Powered Frames a way to harass and disable light starships. The Heavy Pulse Laser Cannon can collapse down, for ease of storage.
