A series of Anti-Starship Turrets developed by the Yugumo Corporation in YE 43.

At the same time as the Yugumo Corporation began working on the "Tachikaze" Point Defense Cannons Type 43, the “Yakaze” Series of Turrets was placed into development. The Yugumo Corporation's desire to have a basic selection of modular weapons to place on their ship designs present and future began to review and evolve products that were released by their predecessors at Motoyoshi Fleet Yards. “Yakaze” translates to “Arrow Wind” in Yamataigo (邪馬台語). They brought Yugumo Corporation board member, and currently active Star Army of Yamatai Chujo, Motoyoshi-Kotoku Sui in for her weapons knowledge and experience as they had for the "Tachikaze" Point Defense Cannons Type 43.

In the YE 30s, Motoyoshi Fleet Yards developed weapons that utilized antineutrons as opposed to the positron weapons that were very popular at the time. antineutrons have a high mass than positron and exist in a magnetically neutral state which allowed for a greater kinetic impact and increased range, they also tend to be unaffected by some charged shield configurations. (antineutrons are also larger and slower) The effectiveness of antineutron weaponry was even good enough that the technology could be deployed, if elected on vessel designs contracted for the Star Army of Yamatai. Motoyoshi-Kotoku Sui who made the ultimate design decision, took those older designs into consideration but built the new generation from the ground up.

Further consideration of the design came from Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko, who had been involved in the design of several of Motoyoshi Fleet Yards weapons systems before the United Outer Colonies separation. Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko finalized the decision to deliver the munition compressed and via subspace-encasement. antineutrons would be siphoned from protected storage and encased in subspace fields. Acceleration in the same mode as Ke-S3-W2901 Positron Accelerator Cannons and MFY Anti-neutron Turret (Subspace-Encased) variant would accelerate the encased “packets” at 0.99c by way of alternating subspace fields to create a railgun-like effect.

In 1月 43年 when the finalized design was released, there were two size selections for the system. The Yugumo Corporation does not allow the purchase of weapons from buyers outside of the Yamatai Star Empire. Starship models sold outside of the nation come without weapons and are discounted appropriately.
