The Arcjet is a remodeled version of an ancient engine used for station-keeping during the After Conflict Era of Abwehran history. The basic principle of this mono-propellant drive is using an electric discharge to excite either hydrazine or ammonia and impart additional energy as it is propelled out of the Arcjet's nozzle.

The arcjet can accelerate to it's maximum attainable velocity in seven seconds.
