Developed in AF 260 (YE 31) by Kaiserlich F&E, the Military Station Tri-Armor (or MSTA) is much like the other armors produced previously in the fact that it uses a system of three armor layers to improve a vessel's durability. In this case, Kaiserlich F&E has added Nerimium to the mix to make a super dense armor. While giving the Abwehran an armor with unheard of durability in their history, it is quite mass intensive. Because of this, MSTA can only be used on stationary facilities.

The make up of MSTA follows the same structural formula of other Tri-Armor Systems. It begins with an outer layer of Nerimium to form a tough outer shell. The second layer is a typical tungsten-ceramic composite that all Abwehran armors have. It gives it a firm defense against any energy-based weapons that may penetrate the Nerimium. The final layer of the three is another shell of Nerimium to protect the station's hull from damage. Once this layer is gone, the station's hull and structure would begin to take damage.
