SKT-1 "Intimidator" Quad-Shotgun

Manufactured by chelti military factories and available for limited public sale, the SKT-1 started as a small size sappers weapon and has used its exceptional ability to take advantage of certain types of chelti shot to remain in production and see service with bounty hunters or other less-lethal roles since YE 39

About the SKT-1

Siege mining and close quarter combat have dictated the use of small, effective weapons. The first make of the SKT-1 was a breach loaded weapon with four barrels designed for close tunnel skirmishes, as the design matured the size increased slightly to secure a magazine and pump action into the gun while maintain its strengths in relatively small size and hard hitting punch.

The SKT-1 has seen little change since an remains an effective close quarter and less-lethal weapon for tight spaces and non-lethal take-downs.

Appearance

A squat, ugly weapon. The Intimidator is named for the four barrels it sports with menacing presence. It has a pump-action that encircles the barrels like a collar, although barrel support is actually provided on the interior of the arrangement. Due to arrangement of the barrels ejection must actually take place from the back, a new array of shells being pulled in as the pump is reversed from the side magazine (not shown in art).

The U-shaped piece on the back acts as a deflector to push spent shells away from the user, and as a mounting point for the stock, usually made out of wood and decorated by the owner if possible. Wooden stocks often being furnished to cover the U-piece as much as possible as an aesthetic choice.

Discharge Information

  • Muzzle Flash: Due to the number of barrels fired at once, the SKT-1s muzzle blast looks more like a small explosion if all barrels are fired at once, a bright orange flame with diagonal gas lips.
  • Retort: Very Alarming. Like listening to tall slab of metal suddenly fall onto its side.
  • Effective Range 200m
  • Rate of Fire: 40 (depending on user proficiency)
  • Recoil: Flat if all barrels fired. Slight diagonal blast opposite barrels position from center if fired one at a time.
