While religious practice tends to vary depending on the specific fleet, the majority of Freespacers are polytheistic with elements of animism, mysticism, and druidism being part of common practice. Without a habitable planet, they have turned to worshiping the spirits of machines rather than nature. They believe that starships, Automata, and any sort of machine has a 'machine spirit.' To discard one simply because there is a better available is treated with the same contempt as abandoning a fellow Freespacer. While religious practice tends to vary depending on the specific fleet, the majority of Freespacers are polytheistic with elements of animism, mysticism, and druidism being part of common practice.
