HS-PD1-W755/00 Veltinibâ Gonâ (Tail Laser)
The HS-PD1-W755/00 was developed for the body_armor in 755CY (ye_36).
About the HS-PD1-W755/00
The Veltinibâ is a laser weapon originally intended to be used to cut through obstacles. It is integrated into the tail unit. During testing it was found that it could be used as an uplose weapon for use against enemies. A second most of operation was added to the system. It takes five seconds for the system to change from close to range mode.
The laser is designed to fire for five seconds and then switches off for five. This prevents the laser from overheating. It has two modes of operation, cutting where the laser is focused at a point about 1 foot from the emitter. The second mode causes the weapon to fire laser pulses. The damage is the same regardless of mode.
The targeting armatures for the laser can also be used to grapple objects.
