VT (Vector Transition) Blade System

The Vector Edge Weapon sits at the apex of Iromakuanhe melee weapons technology, a blade that uses a variable space warping field to crush and slice obstacles with great ease. Consisting of of a solid state blade of Veyrinite-doped ADNR, it projects a field of compressed space along the flats of of the blade and expands space along the edge. The resulting distortion can shear armor as its molecular structure is broken apart from the intense repulsive forces generated along the edge of the blade and cause the development of warping and sympathetic fractures in the hull and substructure.

Vector Transition blades consist of three types of bladed weapon with different purposes. The primary units are the VT Blade which is affixed to the arms of a powered frame and made for slashing and hull-cutting, the VT Driver which is a powered leg and foot segment which can assist in leg-based attacks and anchoring into the ground. Rarer are the VT Fang which are essentially bladed attack drones which are fired like homing darts and penetrate their target en masse before returning to the docks on the unit's body.

VT Sword

The VT Sword resembles a classic straight long blade, save that it consisted of a denser core and hexagonal teeth that fit into the main body and give it the appearance of a three meter-long glossy, two-tone bladed weapon. When not in use, the weapon flips around and contracts so that none of the cutting edges are exposed. The shearing effects of the compressed space field coupled with the cutting edge of the weapon can bisect lightly-armored powered armor in a single strike or remove the limbs off a powered frame.

Damage: MDR 5 Range: 3 Meters Rate of Fire: Varies

VT Fang

VT Fangs are flat and elongated dagger-like drones that feature built-in pseudo-MASC Drives and a sharp edge with VT Blade technology. Capable of striking the limbs cleanly off of powered armor and chipping away at frames with repeated strikes, these weapons are most effective when launched en-masse and can swarm a few targets at a time.

Damage: MDR 3 Range: .35 Meters Rate of Fire: Varies

VT Driver

VT Drivers comprise the bulk mass of the legs of series-2 VANDR units, effectively acting as both movement boosters and deadly weapons. Even when the geometry of the chassis around the legs is not in a blade shape, the compressed space generated by a VT Driver can slice or penetrate heavy armor.
