The “Dumpster” is a runabout-sized small spacecraft used by the Kuvexian Military. It first became known to the Yamatai Star Empire in YE 39. In addition to Kuvexian Navy use, the “Dumpster” is also used by unaffiliated Rixxikor.

It is nicknamed the “Dumpster” because it is a small, boxy, and very cheaply-manufactured craft made to transport hostile soldiers, and because it's usually full of garbage and feces. They are mass-produced by the millions and some of them appear to be quite old. They are designed for short duration, usually one-way trips.

The Dumpster is a boxy craft that has a flat, angled front and a cockpit that bulges out of the fore of the craft on the port (left) side. It has stubby wings and two engines mounted near the rear and a centered rear hatch.

The Dumpster has a spartan interior with exposed wiring running along the ceiling. There are no restrooms or running water onboard. It is also annoyingly loud at times and has a tendency to violently rattle. The Dumpster has a basic gravity control system that keeps the interior around .75 G.

The cockpit has a dome-shaped front made of windows, allowing for a wide view of the surroundings. The interior has basic controls for the craft consisting of joysticks and a small control panel with basic indicators. It has a heavily padded chair made of cheap foam. There is also a bracket and connection port for a laptop computer, which can be used to pilot or remote-control the ship in an automated fashion.

When the cockpit's hatch is shut, it is environmentally sealed off from the passenger bay.

Overheard lighting is accomplished with lead LED strips that look like Christmas decorations.

The floor is a metal grating so that Rixxikor excrement will fall through into a holding tray. It has benches on both sides of the passenger area that are made with what is obviously recycled tires. At the front left of the craft is a circular hatch to the cockpit area.

The fore bulkhead is a large ramp that can be lowered at the destination, allowing the occupants to depart in seconds. There is enough space to hold some 50 soldiers. It's typical for the floor to be covered in trash like ration wrappers.

The back of the craft has a separate storage/armory area and a small, circular rear hatch used to dock and load the craft in space. The supplies can block the rear hatch so they're loaded last.

The supply room is typically stocked with:

• Life-paste (food) and other rations
• Weapons and Ammunition
• Canned soldiers (a dehydrated DNA solution that grows into a soldier when combined with water)

The “Dumpster” is powered by its engines, which each include an aether generator. The power is connected to a long-range hyperspace drive.
