Employees of the SSS can be paid by the scales below, or forgo their pay to go on the Yamatai Prestige System.

The following table shows the pay at various Government Service (GS) levels, it also lists examples of positions that are normally at that level. It also shows the rank pin for each position. Salaries are paid either weekly or monthly in-character.

The pay grade pin is constructed of silver in a rounded rectangular bar. In the bar are four rounded rectangular inserts. These filled with gold inserts. The system as actually very simple, it uses binary for the numbers. It is worn on the right side of the uniform.
