Leo Station Rangers
Leo Rangers was created by up and coming network TNB to compete with the popular program Kamen Sentai Nekoranger. Loosely based on real stories from Star Army of Yamatai soldiers stationed on Leo Star Fortress, but presented in a more 'family friendly' fashion.

Plot
Tune in every week for the adventures of the Actual Sentai Warriors, Leo Station Rangers! Our three heroes defend Leo Star Fortress from attacks by tentacled aliens and space pirates while searching uncharted space for the prophesied space princess.
Characters
Three main rangers are introduced in the first episode, with one more officially joining the team for the final episode. They transform into their futuristic lion-themed combat uniforms with the call of “Change Gijutsu!” They share several special attacks like Leo Punch or Leo Kick. Each team member has a hissatsu finishing maneuver, activated with their Leo Gauntlets, and there are team variations as well.
Leo Red
The team leader, engineer, and general jack-of-all-trades.

Leo Diamond
After finally locating the space princess near the end of the series, she reveals herself as the fourth Ranger in the last episode, joining the others in the final fight.

Inspiration and Creation
The characters and plot were inspired by the adventures of the YSS Sakishima, which was based out of Leo Star Fortress. The show itself was obviously inspired by long running hit Kamen Sentai Nekoranger. While TNB had hoped for a hit that would continue to compete with Nekoranger every year, Leo Ranger was only a moderate success.
Spin-offs and Sequels
While the show is currently, officially on hiatus, TNB is contemplating a retooling for another season. Meanwhile the actress who portrayed Leo Diamond continues to perform the role as a member of Love And Wrestling. The cross promotion keeps the show in the public eye while the current LAW season airs on TNB, and the merchandise sales are fairly impressive as well.
