The Great Temple of Elysia Novus is arguably the greatest building in the Elysian Celestial Empire. It is a vast construction of marble with complex patterns worked into the stone with different varieties showing the different colours.

The holiest of holies is at the rear of the Great Temple is held to actually contain some part of God - how this works has never really been discussed. Two units of the most elite Elysian Infantry - all Patrician - guard it permanently, not themselves entering or allowing anyone else to enter. Only the Exarchs of Elysia may enter - and even then after a month long fasting and purification ceremony.
