Yugumo Cluster

The Yugumo Cluster is located in the galactic southeast of the Kikyo Sector. It is part of the Yamatai Star Empire. It is now part of the Motoyoshi Colonial Sector.

History of the Yugumo Cluster

The Yugumo Cluster has had a complex history.

The Yugumo Cluster was discovered, explored, and mapped by the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet of the Star Army of Yamatai in YE 30.
The Cluster was selected to become the future colonies of the displaced citizens of Taiie by Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko.
Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko accepted a plea for assistance from the Lorath Matriarchy and permitted them to settle as well in the Yugumo Cluster. ¹⁾
That same year, following the Freespacer Massacre and Related Battles a small group of the Motoyoshi Clan led by Motoyoshi Tio and Motoyoshi Kiyoko, as well as the Tange Clan declared independence from Yamatai and formed the United Outer Colonies. The Lorath Matriarchy also joined the new nation.²⁾
The nation-state of the United Outer Colonies failed under the corruption of Motoyoshi Kiyoko and the Tange Clan as they joined forces with the Sfrarabla Mishhuvurthyar Xhrafuklurp (SMX). In YE 33, the Sfrarabla Mishhuvurthyar Xhrafuklurp (SMX) launched a massive attack on the region, and their conspirators escaped on the The Akuro III. The United Outer Colonies was declared a failed nation.
In YE 34 the region was shared in an uneasy cooperation under the Yamatai Star Empire and the Lorath Matriarchy.
Project Checkout and exodus of a faction of the Lorath Matriarchy left the Lorath worlds ruined and turned into Zesuaium in YE 39.
In YE 39 the Yamatai Star Empire resumed full control of the region.

In YE 41, the Yamatai Star Empire loyal part of the Motoyoshi Clan returned to the region. They formed the Yugumo Corporation and joined up with Sunflower Corporation to bring proper management and assistance to the colonies in the region. While providing aide, employment, and other restoration the Motoyoshi Clan successfully executed an agenda to restore the loyalty of the people to the Yamatai Star Empire by promoting Imperialism and the Star Army of Yamatai.

Later in YE 43 the name of the region was changed to the Motoyoshi Colonial Sector.
