This page contains the history of the nh-31.

The design process began around the same time that the nh-32 was started in ye_32. The goal was to develop an upgrade to the series that could be easily adapted to military life. With the ongoing second_mishhuvurthyar_war there were several concerns to be addressed. ketsurui_zaibatsu worked on this and consulted with Star Army Research Administration regarding security upgrades they were planning to implement. Another factor that influenced the design, and was why the design became a complete overhaul was the species_restriction_order. ketsurui_zaibatsu wanted to be sure that any citizen who chose to enlist would not be subject to another racially motivated order. For this reason the NH-31 featured an upgrade to a military version that would be compatible with any equipment used by the star_army_of_yamatai.

As the design work went on into the following year the project was renamed the NH-31. It became available in late ye_33.
