Ghost Star Fortress (NK-S2-02 and/or NK-X1-02) is the remaining one of two older Iori-class Star Fortresses that shared a name. It is currently assigned to the Second Fleet and serves as a mobile headquarters, shipyard, and urban living space for that fleet.
Ghost Star Fortress can usually be found in the Nataria Star System but occasionally travels to support fleet operations.
Avika Nishi is the primary secretary for Ghost Star Fortress.
Ghost Star Fortress was built in YE 25. Its original registry number was YH-02. Its sister stations were Ketsurui Star Fortress (NK-X1-01), Shadow Star Fortress (NK-X1-03), Image Star Fortress (NK-X1-04) and Spirit Star Fortress/Spirit City (formerly NK-X1-05, now NK-S4-02).
Phantom, Shadow, and Ghost Regiments, under command of Empress Yui's third daughter, Ketsurui Sharie, were the Star Army Intelligence command group for the original Sixth Fleet. Sixth Fleet's planetary forces were the remnants of the Albini Planetary Conquest Force. They have participated in missions including: Albini Planetary Conquest, Occupation of Planet Nepleslia, the Battle of Tau Ceti, the Elysian Battle of Ralfaris, the Jaaq'tah Battle of Ralfaris, and fought the Mishhuvurthyar in The Battle of Nepleslia.
After the Sixth Fleet was disbanded, the Star Fortresses from its Phantom, Ghost, Shadow, and Image divisions were distributed to the Second Fleet and First Expeditionary Fleet and kept their names. This confusingly resulted in two stations named Ghost Star Fortress, in two different fleets, for several years.
The first Ghost Star Fortress was moved to the Second Fleet circa YE 26/YE 27 where it served under the command of former First Expeditionary Fleet Chujo Satoshi Ayana. Its registry number was changed to NF-S2-021)2). It hosted the fleet's Star Army Intelligence activities. In YE 31 it was stationed at Himiko System.
Confusingly, another Iori-class Ghost Star Fortress also served in the First Expeditionary Fleet circa YE 26/YE 273) until at least YE 294) under the registry number NK-X1-02. During that time, it served under division commander Chujo Hisae Emiko and performed functions for the Star Army Research Administration. By YE 31 it was no longer serving in the First Expeditionary Fleet5).
Eventually the NK-X1-02 Ghost Star Fortress was decommissioned and key parts, personnel, and functions were merged into the NF-S2-02 Ghost Star Fortress in Second Fleet to extend its operational life. The remaining Ghost Star Fortress kept both identities and answers to both registry numbers.
YSS Artemis was launched from Ghost Star Fortress in YE 41.
