History

Originally stationed at Valaad (An Rhy) with the name Valaad no Iori, Hotaru was pulled from the depot at Nataria and given a full overhaul for use by the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet. When the primary Iori of the fleet, Akina no Iori, was destroyed at Taiie and the Sfrarabla Mishhuvurthyar Xhrafuklurp (SMX) made their push towards Valaad (An Rhy) it was decided to preserve the resources of the fleet to pull the base back to Katsuko's Nebula. With the Fifth's mission to preserve the Star Army at any cost, it then found its way to the Yugumo Cluster - the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet's new base of operations until the United Outer Colonies secession.

After the UOC's return of Star Army equipment, the star fortress was returned to the Yamatai system where it sat somewhat neglected until the Second Mishhuvurthyar War when it was assigned to the Seventh Fleet to serve as the fleet's base of operations.
