The Containment Force Fields (CFF) is subcomponent of the Autonomous Medical Treatment Center (AMTC) and became available in YE 31.
The AMTC units use the CFFs to create a barrier through which contaminants can not pass. This ensures that the patient if infectious can not spread the infection, and if they are not that they can not be exposed to infection while being treated.
At normal operating level the CFF is permeable to solid objects. But if required the strength can be increased to prevent solid objects to pass. This provides physical protection to the patient or keeping the patient from leaving the unit.
When the CFFs are energized the AMTC unit switches to the Integrated atmosphere system to provide the patient with clean breathable air.

The ANU only has a single emitter which is mounted in the head piece.
