The Integrated Atmosphere System (IAS) is subcomponent of the Autonomous Medical Treatment Center (AMTC) and became available in YE 31.

The IAS provides a purified atmosphere for the patient. It is bascially a rebreather systerm combined with a filtration system.

The filters clear the air of all solid contaminents down to the microscopic level. The filters are cleaned between patients by the Integrated decontamination system.

The rebreather system removes chemicals from the atmosphere, and maintains proper levels of oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide. It uses a simpler version of the rebreathers used in the Yamatai power armors. The IAS also maintains a supply of pure oxygen that can be supplied to the patient by an oxygen mask attached to the headboard of the AMTC unit.
