Star Army Footlocker

The Star Army Footlocker is an optional storage unit, typically used in barracks or tent situations by soldiers. It became available in YE 32.

Star Army Locker

Purpose

The Star Army footlocker provides soldiers with a secure-able storage unit for their personal gear when in barracks or tents.

Appearance

The footlocker is a rectangular box with handles on each end for carrying. A control panel located on the front controls the security of the locker. It sits on four small pads. They come in Star Army Blue, olive drab or camouflage (Previously made in Multi-net but now made with RIKUPAT since YE 37).

Construction

The footlocker is made from a thin Durandium Alloy frame and covered in thin sheets. Brackets are fitted approximately 3 inches in the locker to support the shelves. The exterior of the locker is .5 inches which reduces the inner dimensions by 1 one inch on each dimension.

Biometric Security System

The footlocker is secured with a biometric security system. The user can choose between using the integrated thumbprint reader, a keypad entered combination, or both. the control pad has a cover which prevents damage to the panel.

Powered by a Ke-G1-P3100 - Power cell that can operate the system for two months before needing recharge.

Thumbprint reader not only scans the thumbprint, but also performs a thermal scan which requires the thumb to be still attached to the person.

Star Army Military Police officers have the ability to override the security system, provided they have probable cause or a warrant.

Anchor System

This system secures the locker to a floor. Built into the base are four small pads that secrete molecure solution. It is controlled by the Biometric Security System. Each pad is also capable of releasing the bond.
