Star Army of Yamatai Combat Vehicle Operators are soldiers that operate heavy ground and hover vehicles for the Star Army and the Rikugun. These soldiers are trained to operate in concert with infantry forces, and mainly serve the purpose of fire support and heavy transport for groups of infantry. Vehicle Operators wear the Star Army Field Uniform, Type 31.
Tanks have been in service since the beginning of the Star Army of Yamatai and are known to been part of Operation Bloody Shield. However, Combat Vehicle Operators were officially introduced in YE 39 into the Star Army of Yamatai. They are able to drive and operate any land vehicle class that are known in Star Army of Yamatai. They have been seen in most if not all known wars throughout Yamatai Star Empire history. They are seen as an essential part of the Star Army of Yamatai.
Training for combat vehicle operators is handled by Star Army Training Administration where they learn how to operate the various kind of vehicles from heavy to hover types. This training can be given at any Star Army of Yamatai military fortress and when they are finished with their training they are certified to operate any vehicles in service of the Star Army of Yamatai.
Members of the Combat Vehicle Operator occupation fall into 3 main roles: Mecha Operator, Tank Operator, and Military Driver
A mecha operator is able to operate any vehicle that is categorized as a legged vehicle known in the Star Army of Yamatai. A mecha operator is able to operate any standard hover vehicle known within the Star Army of Yamatai.
A tank operator is able to operate any vehicle that is categorized as a track vehicle known in the Star Army of Yamatai. A tank operator operates and manages the crew within the tank to do their duties. A tank operator is able to operate any standard hover vehicle known within the Star Army of Yamatai.
A military drive is able to operate any vehicle that is categorized as a wheels vehicle known in the Star Army of Yamatai. A military driver is able to operate any standard hover vehicle known within the Star Army of Yamatai.
