Star Army of Yamatai pilots are carrier-based soldiers that operate manned fighters and bombers, as well as shuttles and some small starships. Note that Power Armor is not piloted - it is worn by (typically by Star Army Infantry), and there is not a “power armor pilot” specialty in the Star Army (although these used to be, when power armor was first introduced). Pilots wear the Star Army Aerospace Flight Suit, Type 32.

The pilots have been in service since the beginning of the Star Army of Yamatai. They are able to fly fighters, bombers, civilian shuttles to some small starships. They have been seen in most if not all known wars throughout Yamatai Star Empire history. They are seen as an essential part of the Star Army of Yamatai.
Training for pilots is handled by Star Army Training Administration as they used to report at Fort Hanako which got destroyed by the Kuvexian forces in the Kuvexian War, they are now to report at the temporary pilot school at the base of Fort Hajime. There they learn the basics and advancement of flying in spacecraft and be able to get their pilot certification.
Members of the Pilot's occupation fall into 2 main roles: Fighter Pilot, and Bomber Pilot.
A fighter pilot is certified to pilot any type of fighter class known in the Star Army of Yamatai. Fighter pilots are able to pilot both small civilian and military class ships. They are allowed to be co-pilot on bombers to safely guide the ship back to a hanger when a bomber pilot is out of commission.
A bomber pilot is certified to pilot any type of bomber class known in the Star Army of Yamatai. They are the leader of the bomber crew, the pilot operates and manages the crew in performing their duties in the best efficiency and direction. Bomber pilots are able to pilot both small civilian and military class ships.
Players with Pilot characters are expected to have a basic understanding of piloting small craft within the Star Army of Yamatai and be prepared to research those topics more in-depth.
