The Type 40 Exercise Bra is a sports bra used by female soldiers of the Star Army of Yamatai beginning in YE 40.

The Type 40 Exercise Bra costs 10 KS and is available from any Star Army Clothing Store.

The Type 40 Exercise Bra was preceded by various similar models of bra dating back to the first Star Army Uniforms in YE 22. The original sports bras used in the Star Army were black in color. In YE 40 the Star Army began moving to Regal Blue undergarments and the Type 40 Exercise Bra was introduced with the Type 40 Exercise Uniform.

The bra has a thick bottom band that reduces breasts' vertical bounce and firm shoulder straps and is constructed out of high-elasticity synthetic fabric. The fabric wicks perspiration and moisture away from the skin to reduce chafing and dries very quickly.

The Star Army Exercise Bra is Star Army Regal Blue in color (#223460) and features the text “STAR ARMY” printed in the center of the chest area.

The Type 40 Exercise is optionally worn under the Star Army Exercise Uniform, Type 40 or any other Star Army uniform. It can also be used as swimwear.

The bra does not require special laundry care; it is machine-washable and can be machine-dried in any Standard Star Army Laundry Room.
