Task Force 77 is an operations unit with in the Star Army of Yamatai, formed in the year YE 37. Place under the command of Shôshô Eda Fusae, TF77 is based from the planet Mevar.
Task Force 77 and its ships move out to protect those who can't protect themselves and banish the dragons back to the edges of the maps.

In standard practice, the Task Force moves in smaller units: Task Groups. The Task Group sub-division consists of a Capital ship and its escorts.
The only group to have more then one Capital ship is Task Group Zappa, which includes the Fighter Carrier, has a Light Cruiser, giving the Carrier more support and combat efficiency.
Though broken up in Task Groups, the Task Force works in a whole and supports each other.
In early YE 37 A new Task Force was created. The YSS Soyokaze was brought in to be the lead ship in the group. The Task Force was put under the command of Shôshô Eda Fusae. The Task Force were assigned the planet of Mevar as a base of operations.
