The Ke-V9-W3302 Integrated Aether Flare Launcher was developed for use on the Ke-V9 "Nodachi" Assault Fighter and became available in YE 33.

The Ke-V9-W3302 system utilizes raw Aether from an adjacent power plant, which is field-jacketed, directed and expelled out of the ships stern at 1,000 meters per second in a series of intense, coherent bursts. The process somewhat simulates the backwash of a fighter's sub-light drives and thus diverts the thermal targeting systems of enemy warheads.
