The TCS¹⁾ Urufu , CE-C1-0001, was built by Geshrinari Shipyards and is owned by the Tamahagane Corporation. It was built in YE 33.

It is the flagship of the corporation. It serves as a large scale cargo ship and armed escort for Tamahagane shipping.

The TCS Urufu was originally one of two Geshrinari Shipyards prototypes for the Urufu-Class Light Cruiser. After the design went into production, Tamahagane Makoto CEO of Tamahagane Corporation saw an opportunity and ordered the ship retrofitted into the marketed Ge-C1-2a - Ookami-Class Light Cruiser design. With the war in full swing one of the biggest threats to commercial shipping was NMX commerce raiders. With military resources dedicated to the engaging the enemy and protecting systems, there was a need for a civilian ship to counter the threat. The refit of the Urufu became a civilian merchantman , that TC could use to defend vulnerable merchant fleets. The maiden voyage of the TCS Urufu was to Nepleslia Prime.

The TCS Urufu is painted the Tamahagane corporate copper scheme. While the hull structure for the shock cannon is still visible, none of the equipment for was left on board. The locations of the positron cannons can be seen by the patching of the hull. Eventually the patching will be removed.

The TCS Urufu has the same rating as the Ge-C1-1a because the effort to strip the entire hull would have been too invasive.
