Orbiting the Third Planet of the Jaspis System, the Shipyard Cluster of the Abwehran Imperial Yards is the ship production center of the entire Empire. The cluster is a group of six Orbital Shipyards that have been active for nearly 50 Abwehran years¹⁾ and have been refitted and upgraded over the course of the centuries. While ancient in many regards, they are still reliable. However, Abwehran Imperial Yards has no plans for building any more and are designing new shipyards for the colonial areas.

Each Shipyard has six Production Bays with Three Production Slots per Bay. With that amount of production capacity, it is easy to rent slots to other companies as necessary. Prices of rentals vary.

For Corporations other than AIY, the price of rental runs along the lines of 300,000 Credits per month. If the corporations wants to utilize AIY personnel/technicians, the price is increased by 10,000 Credits per individual. Utilizing AIY resources for their construction plans will increase the cost dependent upon material estimates.

For Private citizens, price of rental runs about 400,000 credits per month. But unlike corporations, this plan includes AIY personnel/technicians. Resources, on the other hand, are still dependent upon material estimates.

Government use is highly different though. Since the government uses its own resources and AIY personnel, AIY normally charges just a 800,000 Credit Production Slot and Personnel fee per month.
