The Ki'kayshea'ne System was discovered by the Neshaten toward the end of EE 001-v, but it wasn't until the beginning of EE 002 that exploration of the system started up; the systems three ice planets make it an ideal location for ice harvesting for the generation of water to be placed and used in new colonies. In EE 002-v, a new mining operation was launched by several independent trade families to begin mining minerals to be used on a large scale project. The system is located on the south-west edge of the Neshaten border, serving as a way-station for travel beyond the territory.
The M8 is a very old star that shows its age, as it gives out a smaller amount of light than its companion star; large portions of the star are black and it is slowly growing by roughly ten inches every year.
|Type:||M8 V Red Dwarf|
|Radius:||2.94 x 105 km (0.42 x sol)|
|Mass:||7.00 x 1029 kg (0.35 x sol)|
|Luminosity:||1.46 x 1025 W (0.04 x sol)|
The M0 star is the newest star within the system, its formation unknown although under study by Neshaten scientists. The star gives off a hellish red glow across the system that is bright enough to be seen even from beyond the systems borders; its brighter than the main sequence star.
|Type:||M0 V Red Dwarf|
|Distance:||9.47 x 106 km (0.06 AU)|
|Radius:||2.71 x 105 km (0.39 x sol)|
|Mass:||5.53 x 1029 kg (0.28 x sol)|
|Luminosity:||9.91 x 1024 W (0.03 x sol)|
Ki'kayshea'ne is a planet located practically right next door the main star, within the systems habitable zone. While the planet's surface atmosphere is very toxic and almost unlivable to an oxygen breathing species, the true gem of the world is beneath its surface where very large caverns and expansive tunnels contain clean and breathable oxygen. In EE 002, the Neshaten set up a test colony located five miles beneath the planet's toxic surface.
|Orbital Radius:||4.73 x 107 km (0.32 AU)|
|Period:||1.96 x 103 hours (0.22 earth years)|
|Gravity:||9.47 m/s2 (0.97 x earth)|
|Hydrosphere:||64 % water, 57 % ice|
The second planet from the star, Ki'kayshea'ne 2 is a uranium rich world that is highly irriadated and entirely unlivable; mining operations on the planet are done purely through the use of unmanned vehicles, as no person can live longer than two minutes on the surface.
|Orbital Radius:||7.57 x 107 km (0.51 AU)|
|Period:||3.96 x 103 hours (0.45 earth years)|
|Gravity:||10.27 m/s2 (1.05 x earth)|
|Special:||Heavy Uranium, planetary rings|
Third planet from the star, and one that can't be colonized. Its surface is covered in volcanic rivers and oceans with a surface temperature almost constantly 800 degrees during the night, and over a thousand during the day. Exploration probes sent to the surface have been unsuccessful in gathering anything more than surface data.
|Orbital Radius:||1.28 x 108 km (0.86 AU)|
|Period:||8.74 x 103 hours (1.00 earth years)|
|Gravity:||5.59 m/s2 (0.57 x earth)|
|Special:||Heavy volcanism, planetary rings|
The fourth planet from the star, Ki'kayshea'ne is a very large iceball that is the prime location for Neshaten ice harvesting.
|Orbital Radius:||2.47 x 108 km (1.65 AU)|
|Period:||2.34 x 104 hours (2.67 earth years)|
|Gravity:||10.73 m/s2 (1.10 x earth)|
Ki'kayshea'ne Five is the fifth planet from the star, and unlike others, is livable. Ki'kayshea'ne contains several mining operations along with an underground research outpost that is being used by the Neshaten to research into methods of surviving in extreme cold environments.
|Orbital Radius:||4.25 x 108 km (2.84 AU)|
|Period:||5.27 x 104 hours (6.02 earth years)|
|Gravity:||9.39 m/s2 (0.96 x earth)|
The sixth, and last, planet in the system. Ki'kayshea'ne is an oddity, despite its temperatures being at a constant negative eight hundred and forty one degrees below zero, it actually has several rivers that flow across its surface. The planet is presently being used by the Neshaten for study.
|Orbital Radius:||9.21 x 108 km (6.15 AU)|
|Period:||1.68 x 105 hours (19.23 earth years)|
|Gravity:||9.63 m/s2 (0.98 x earth)|
