Liber System

A small yellow star with a small blue marble orbiting it nearly one hundred light years from Yamatai, the 'view' of this small unassuming system is veiled by the eastern most arm of the Katsuko Nebula. Like it's nearby neighbor systems this system has been left unexplored.

Unknown to the societies to the galactic west a small population of humanity has called the planets orbiting this small yellow star home for nearly the last 500 years. The product of a plan of escape during the dark days of the Black Claw Empire, what started as a large group of ships home to a few million souls as expanded across the star system over the system with a population of a few billion. Now with the recent rediscovery of ancient faster then light travel the possibility of their discovery has been elevated.

Ignis

A small rocky ball of rock and iron, Ignis is the closest planet to the Liber system's star and represents the hottest planet in the system with surface temperatures on the day side hot enough to melt lead. This airless world is tidally locked, with one side almost entirely facing the star's broiling heat and the other almost entirely left in the cold of space.

Despite it's extremes however, Ignis's metal rich crust leaves a valuable profit to be made to any entrepreneurial industries willing to brave the planet's hostile surface.

Estus

Essentially a slightly 'cooler' (being a relative term) version of Ignis, Estus is also a lifeless hot rock in the inner system. Like it's closer compatriot it is also tidally locked, one side of the planet eternally roasting in the star's light and the other eternally frozen. Also, like Ignis, it's crust is rich in easily exploited metallic ores.

Raska

If Liber had a hell it would be Raska. A world of vast volcanic events and a runaway greenhouse effect, Raska is inherently hostile to all forms of life. The planet's atmosphere, flooded with vast amounts of carbon dioxide and various other volcanic gases chokes the world in a thick impermeable layer of yellow acid clouds. The surface of the planet as a result is insanely hostile, extreme atmospheric pressure and heat equivalent to an unprotected person standing next to a starship exhaust.

Liber

The systems sole terrestrial planet, it was the original colony where the first arrivals to Liber landed and restarted their civilization. It has three large continental bodies, one of which is partially frozen under the southern pole. Over 80 percent of the planet is covered by water, this vast hydrosphere driving a powerful weather system that originally hampered colonization. In recent years the population has fallen as more and more make their way into space to colonize the rest of the Liber system.

Roth

Roth is the second habited planet of the Liber system. Centuries of terraforming efforts to thicken the atmosphere have recently allowed the inhabitants to go outside of the small outposts that existed without pressure suits. Oxygen generators and modified oxygen producing planetkon from Liber have produced enough of a concentration of oxygen where only a respirator is needed thanks to the large level of dust in the air.
