YE 30
The thirtieth year of the Yamataian Calendar. YE 30 lasted from summer 2007, until December 31, 2008.
Notable Events
Independent
- Kakutama Heavy Industries was founded, owned, and operated by the Shichou Clan.
- The Guild of Cyberempathy usurps crime lords on Halna and other worlds in order to finance their operations. Drug and slave trading operations are systematically shut down in these sectors. Automata begin to police in force, in turn leading to a sharp decline in the number of violent crimes. Attempts are made to infiltrate Nepleslian criminal infrastructure, but are only successful in small, limited increments.
- Freespacer survivors exodus to Port Hope in Nepleslian space, and north into the Blue Rift Expanse. The Ley Lines network established to this end.
- United Manufacturing Cooperative was founded.
- Lorath Starship Storage Depot is established.
International Events
- Yamatai blockaded Nepleslia1)
- The first International Relations Conference is held at Pisces Station in order to help foster peace between Yamatai; Nepleslia; Elysia and the Sfrarabla Mishhuvurthyar Xhrafuklurp (SMX) forces.
- The IAA is signed between Nepleslia and Yamatai; and the Sfrarabla Mishhuvurthyar Xhrafuklurp (SMX) forces leave known space.
- YSS Eucharis was the first ship to reach the homeworld of the Azorean; saves the life of Azorean Viceroy Raytim.
- YSS Eucharis leads the First Expeditionary Fleet in a mass killing of Freespacer invaders on Halna in order to protect Red interests. Black Moon city abandoned.
- YSS Eucharis leads the First Expeditionary Fleet to capture the Great Lighthouse, glasses Freehold Factory and captures Journey's End.
- First known encounter with the Iromakuanhe race, by Freespacer scouts moving away from the core systems.
- Nepleslian Colonial Expanse the Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia began to expand their planetary assets farther into the unpopulated galactic northwest.
Nepleslia
- Nepleslian Star Empire reforms into Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia. The Star Army of Nepleslia also changes into the Star Military of the Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia.
- Kennewes Offensive ends, with SMoDIN forces victorious.
- Cirrus Station constructed as a joint venture between Nepleslian Arms and Munitions, The Free State, and CSEIA
- NSS Melissa Kenni is launched to clean up the remaining pockets of resistance on Kennewes.
- Melisson approaches SMoDIN to create diplomatic relations and reveals the truth about the plague that killed billions on Yamatai (Planet), originally credited to Elysia.
Yamatai
- The Species Restriction Order of YE 29 is repealed.
- The Third Expeditionary Fleet suffers heavy losses at Valaad (An Rhy).
- Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko becomes Empress.
- Uesu's fleet departs known space in a trail of destruction through the Mishhuvurthyar territories.
- HX Series Star Systems are explored by the YSS Elfin Princess.
- YSS Elfin Princess destroyed in battle with Melisson
- The Fourth Fleet makes headquarters at Taiie, expands the Empire by four systems, and places stations near the UOC border. Katsuko no Iori dedicated.
- Shimizu-Motoyoshi Akina (清水本吉明菜) forms the Shimizu Clan and Shimizu Fleet Yards as Royal Princess with Ketsurui approval.
- YSS Eucharis visits Viridian System.
- YSS Aeon explores the Sairen system.
- Memory Backup Protection Act of YE 30 is passed by Senate of Yamatai
- Scientific Studies Service (SSS) is founded with Saiki Kouan as the Shuji (Director).
United Outer Colonies
- The Yuguumo Cluster's United Outer Colonies declares independence from the Yamatai Star Empire.
- The United Outer Colonies's 4th Fleet launches the Pirate Task Force in order to combat the growing problem of Piracy in the Colonies.
- The UCS Zenpyou is launched.
- Commodore Shichou Yuriko Assassinated.
Rise of the Bakufu
- Under the reigns of Koyanagi Mayumi the Fleet is restored and the Motoyoshi Bafuku increases its power adding tribute families from within the population of survivors of Taiie and the personnel of the fleet.
- The Tange, one of the tribute families within the Bakufu begins to gain power by concentrating high ranking members of the fleet into its membership.
- Motoyoshi Kiyoko becomes heavily influenced by the Tange, who have begun to voice treasonous opinions towards the Empire.
- The Fleet proceeds to Pisces Station to confront its commander about the treatment of Taiie survivors. Thanks to the involvement of Kessaku Irim a potentially volatile situation is adverted.
- Motoyoshi Tio among those recovered from Pisces.
- Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko is restored. Returns to duty after evaluation as commander of the fleet.
- Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko creates Motoyoshi Fleet Yards and Koyanagi Mayumi retires from the Star Army to take control.
Politics & Betrayals
- The Hanabusa Tributary commits treason to the Sfrarabla Mishhuvurthyar Xhrafuklurp (SMX). Motoyoshi Kiyoko remains in contact with members of the tributary forming a secret alliance with a Ghost Mishhu named Angelica.
- The Bakufu continues to gain power.
- Yugumo Cluster colonized by the Fleet. Is made the new home of the survivors of Taiie and headquarters for the fleet.
- The Ascendancy-class Flagship, YSS Akuro III (Later UCS Akuro III) is constructed and launched.
- Tange-Katsura Ayana sent as representative to the Senate.
- The Fleet returns to Yamatai (Planet) and Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko becomes Empress of the Yamatai Star Empire.
Battle of the Great Lighthouse
- Connections grow between Motoyoshi Kiyoko, the Sfrarabla Mishhuvurthyar Xhrafuklurp (SMX) and Hanabusa traitors. Efforts to investigate the connections are terminated when Koyanagi Mayumi joins the secret alliance and begins to plot against the now Empress Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko.
- The Free State is found to be conducting operations in Halna which is determined to be undermining the Empire's sovereignty.
- Ketsurui Yui is dispatched to the Great Lighthouse.
- Motoyoshi Kiyoko, Koyanagi Mayumi, and members of the Tange utilize the military action of the Empire to create feelings of no confidence towards Empress Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko and Ketsurui Yui.
- Motoyoshi Kiyoko leads a group of Sfrarabla Mishhuvurthyar Xhrafuklurp (SMX) and Fifth Expeditionary Fleet ships to the Great Lighthouse to assassinate Ketsurui Yui.
- Empress Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko discovers her daughter's betrayal and dispatches the newly finished YSS Akuro III which assists Ketsurui Yui in dispatching the traitors.
Aftermath of The Battle of the Great Lighthouse
- Koyanagi Mayumi, Motoyoshi Tio, and elements of the Motoyoshi Bafuku utilize the Battle at the Great Lighthouse and the Freespacer Massacre and Related Battles as propaganda to trigger the treason of the fleet and colonies of the Yugumo Cluster creating the United Outer Colonies.
- In shame of her family's actions Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko steps down as Empress.
Colonization of the Yugumo Cluster
The colonization of the Yugumo Cluster was conducted by the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet.
- The Jiyuu System was named the regional capital and Tange-Katsura Ayana was named Senator.
- The influence of the Motoyoshi Bafuku supported independence from the Yamatai Star Empire.
- Motoyoshi Kiyoko restored.
- The Tange go to great lengths to cover up their connections to the Sfrarabla Mishhuvurthyar Xhrafuklurp (SMX) and the Hanabusa traitors.
- The Lorath Matriarchy join the independence movement.
International Relations Conference of YE 30
Operation Freedom Cake
Operation Freedom Cake was the official declaration of the United Outer Colonies independence.
Building A New Nation
- Intergalactic Armistice Agreement of YE 30 (IAA) was made to prevent hostilities with the Yamatai Star Empire.
- All equipment is returned to the Yamatai Star Empire as defined by the IAA.
- The Constitution of the United Outer Colonies is ratified. Government of the United Outer Colonies is officially formed.
- Tange-Katsura Ayana named as Prime Minister. The Motoyoshi Clan is maintained as the ruling Monarchy.
- The Peacekeeper Charter of YE 30 is created defining the role of the United Outer Colonies Peacekeeping Forces. Harbour Master Act is passed to protect the colonies.
Angelica and the SMX
- Angelica and her Shlarvasseroth-class Flagship are spotted in the Yugumo Cluster several times presumably meeting with Tange officials in secret. No investigation was ever made into this matter. It was dismissed as the activity of the Hanabusa Traitors.
Piracy Issues
- After the UOC was forced to send its Star Army of Yamatai military ships and equipment, the UOC's ability to protect itself is severely diminished. This causes an explosion of piracy, as vengeful Yamataian loyalists and opportunistic Nepleslians prey on UOC shipping.
Other Events
- The United Manufacturing Cooperative is formed through the cooperation of several corporate conglomerates in the region.
- Citizens of the Colonies gain a cultural identity defining themselves as Jiyuuian
