Build and Skin Color: Fair, Caucasian skin tone, and a rather buxom build that has been made more substantial with striking, overt muscle tone. One would find Aka attractive while at the same time intimidating.

Eyes and Facial Features: A Ginger with washed out, big, green eyes, with a splash of light freckles around the bridge of her button nose; she seems very old world, or old era. A bygone beauty when she flashes a broken smile.

She tends to bare a shallow grin that makes her appear wily or up to something. When confused, curious or apprehensive, she raises one of her heavy, red eyebrows, squints the opposite eye and folds her arms across her stomach.

This is usually proceeded by a sharp exhale or a quiet sigh.

Ears: Human-like ears that are a little on the big size. Hidden under her hair, helmet, or hat, they tend to go unnoticed more often than not.

Hair Color and Style: Red headed and long haired, the length reaching to her shoulder blades. She does two “plates” on either side of her head up with plain, black hair ties that she knots up into simple bows.

Distinguishing Features: Pale, even by fair skin standards, with almost candy apple red hair tone, coupled with the unusually faded green of her eye pigmentation, and she stands out already as striking…and somehow old fashioned.

Starting at the wrist and trailing (so far) up her forearm is a series of very small hash marks (two lines to represent each moon and a third line representing the cycle) each tattoo signifies a completed moon cycle on Yamatai since she's joined the Star Army.

Personality: Aka Aki is the consummate “doer” of any task set before her. Growing up, she was often encouraged by those around her to go play, finish homework,clean her room, clear her plate, find something to occupy herself, and so on.

Aka, unlike most children, took to these orders, reprimands and dismissals from her peers as challenges; she started to develop a sense of candor and sincerity in doing what she was requested or charged to do - at first to earn preference, or attention, then later in life, for personal fulfillment. She likes putting in a full effort, and the requisite acknowledgment of a job well done.

Goal oriented, Aka can at times seem narrow sighted, but also far seeing; knowing the path to the completion of her goal, and knowing many of the immediate obstacles in the way. She can come across materialistic, and harshly utilitarian for this reason, as well as selfish, but she tempers her self serving nature with compassion when she can.

Given the nature of military life, Aka applies her mentality to the group's benefit by being fervent and quick to the task(s) at hand, finishing quickly her own work, and then helping others within the group directly after.

While her work ethic is route and efficient, Aka herself is of a fiery temperament beneath her calm, serious exterior. She feels everything on an intense emotional level, but keeps it below the surface under very tight, rigid control. Regardless, it can come bubbling out under the right influences or stimulus, and it is a red hot expression.

Despite herself, Aka can be a genuine, honest, and trusting friend. Aka sees friendship as a way of expressing herself to others more openly, showing them who she is beyond what she has become in adulthood. Friends give Aka the chance of being more childish and frenetic, to do without any other purpose than to do.

Patriotic, Aka is staunchly loyal to the Yamatai Star Empire and the Star Army of Yamatai, which, allows her to express herself, and act in the professional capacity that she desires.

A steady recruit with a future in mind for herself, fair warning goes to anyone (or thing) that gets between her and reaching the manifestation of her goals.

Born YE 13, on Yamatai, in Tania, Aka Aki is the second eldest of four children of a Geshrin family unit. Aka grew up with a strong sense of her position within the family dynamic; mediator of the younger two children's squabbling and rivalries, and confidant to her older brother, as well as co-conspirator.

Aka and Kentaro were an inseparable, and by their mother's own mouth, insufferable pair that spent much of their early life getting into mischief together. As time went on, Kentaro drifted more towards friends, and outside interests, and eventually the Star Army while Aka picked up the slack made in his absence at home. This would lead into much of Aka's mentality in years going forward as she took on the responsibility of quailing the conflicts of her younger siblings while addressing her mother's (Akina Aki) growing alcoholism and resentment towards her father, Noboru.

Essentially, Aka became the only one to see to the running of the household, building her life around the tasks and goals there, and seeing them done in a timely manner so that she could address her own interests.

The death of Noboru Aki, a Star Army Officer and pilot, was a hard blow to Aka, aged 14 when the bad news was delivered home to them in Tania. This would lead to a verbal conflict between herself and her mother that ended with their mutual estrangement, Aka leaving home to live with relatives in Takekumori.

Neither of the two have spoken to each other since, even at the funeral of Noboru Aki.

After completing her education, now aged 18, Aka busied herself with earning a living and saving income aside, breezing between several jobs over the next two years before ending up back in Tania, working as an “Exotic Performer” at an adult club catering to the men of the Star Army coming in on shore leave to visit family and friends or part ways with some of their salary.

It was an awkward place for her to encounter her older brother Kentaro after roughly five years of little to no communication. Discharged do to several inoperable injuries, Kentaro was returning home. Aka, explaining her last five years and the situation between her and their mother led Kentaro to suggesting that she join the Star Army.

Putting her current life in order, Aka vacated Tania, and shuttled out for recruitment.

A competent, spirited learner, Aka was apt to learn her MO in the Star Army. During this time, her Drill Instructor, a Nekovalkyrja, purposefully pushed and challenged her physically and emotionally, often pitting her, a Geshrin, against her fellow, and comparatively superior Nekvalkyrja soldiers.

Whether this was hazing or the Drill Instructor trying to bring the best out of Aka is uncertain, but it excelled Aka in the eyes of her peers and superiors regardless.

Well trained in the basics of communications through the commonly used methods of the Star Army, Aka can utilize most radio systems in the military as well as many of the civilian models for emergency purposes.

While not a communications expert, her knowledge is extensive enough to allow her to improvise communications on social channels in basic military encryption should the need arise.

As such, Aka speaks, reads and writes in both Trade and Yamataigo, though her Yamataigo is considered a bit rudimentary, but sufficient enough for Star Army purposes.

Her spoken Yamataigo is accented “endearingly” according to some of her fellow soldiers, clean enough to hold fairly solid conversations face to face or over radio.

Drill trained in the basics on an intense level by her aggressive Nekvalkyrja Drill Instructor; Aka's grasp of Hand-to-hand combat, and the physicality to utilize it effectively, are par excellence.

She can assemble and disassemble her energy pistol behind her back in two minutes while restrained at the wrists. Not a marksman, her accuracy is still notable given her steady hands. She's also comparable with the knife, attributed largely to her MO in Medical.

Her opinion on Power Armor is rather bleak, as she finds it both confining and awkward, but a necessary evil in order to survive. As such, her utilization of power armor is meeting standard competency, but only barely.

If it is the Kessaku OS, Aka can use it. An avid reader, she spends time, rifling through the cybernetic sea for information both pertinent to her military tasks, and her personal enjoyment.

She is proficient enough to avoid potential computer hazards and can run basic system debugging, or defragmentation, when necessary, but anything beyond that is beyond the scope of her knowledge.

Negligible, but utilizable, math is not her strongest area of study; Aka struggles with the math competencies, but has managed to grasp enough to apply it to her field to save lives.

She picks and chooses her battles with math, focusing on certain equations and finding out where and how they fit in regards to her challenges. When she discovers a useful method, she commits it to route memorization and applies it where needed.

Pathology, Medicine, and Surgery are areas of excellence for Aka, her instructors going as far to say that she is gifted with whatever utensil enters her hands. Aka's route nature and self control lends her to the pursuit of memorization, at least of Vaccines, countless symptoms, and various formulas.

Given the need for battlefield augmentations, especially after limbs have been potentially severed or blown off via various factors, when Aka showed interest as well as a predisposition towards advanced medical knowledge, the Star Army was not going to deny her.

Cybernetics Installation, Triage, and intricate, risky Surgery techniques (Brain, Heart, and Facial Reconstruction Surgeries) are a part of Aka's knowledge base. She can, and has, performed the above, showing both talent and experience in the methods she's learned.

An “Exotic Performer”, Aka can, in a word, dance, and rather provocatively too given her physicality. She also has a strange attraction towards an archaic, miniscule stringed instrument with four nylon cords that produces a tinny sound.

She has a shallow command of said instrument.
