-In an effort to remain independent from the "Big Companies" like [[corp:stardust_pictures]] and [[corp:yukosfilm]] after the collapse of [[corp:universal_cinematics]] in [[timeline:ye_19]], long time film maker Mekoso Yoki, owner of Yoki Productions, sought out to keep himself from having to sell his company. On the other side was independent film producer Jarathe Dyo, who had long worked with Universal before it's collapse, and sought to stay out of any other film companies. When Yoki and Dyo met, they were already certain that their goal, to build up an independent film company, could be achieved. As soon as negotiations were finished, Yoki and Dyo went to establish Yody Films, from the combination of their first two letters each. Because of Yoki's little former experience with film production, Dyo was chosen to become President, while Yoki became co-Chairman. Good friend and fellow film maker Mikane Coyi was brought on board as Chief of Production. The office of Franchise Manager was developed after the release of the second Time Travellers film in [[timeline:ye_25]], and was given to long-time friend and producer Nicolas Hedrow. Coyi resigned in [[timeline:ye_35]] and was replaced by director Friedrich Meister.
-Yody Films' first success came from the release of the first Time Travellers film in [[timeline:ye_23]]. Directed by Yoki himself and produced by Dyo, the film would completely revolutionise the use of practical special effects, sound design and soundtrack for future [[wp>Science fiction]] films. It would remain the highest grossing sci-fi film for almost a year until [[corp:stardust_pictures|Stardust's]] The Last Voyage of The Challenger took over that title. The second Time Travellers would become the first film which would include a performance of renowned composer Johann Wilhelmus, who would become Yody Films' foremost composer and has conducted on all the company's productions ever since except two.
