The Compressed Helium Container is used for the storage of Compressed Helium byproduct from the Type 30 Link Siphon (Retconned) and the Stellar Link Siphon (Retconned). This allows it to be run in the Link Siphon's Recycling mode, as well as the civilian-built Pressurized Helium Reactor.

It should be noted that the Star Army of Yamatai, Motoyoshi Fleet Yards, and her member planets use Yamataium containers, while everyone else uses ones made of Reinforced Durandium Alloy or Nerimium.

This cylindrical container has the labels of its owner, its contents, and the standard high pressure warnings. While the material is non-flammable, the pressures inside can easily cause catastrophic damage if the container is ruptured. As such, it has a force field system on the interior to prevent the contents from ejecting into the surrounding environment, as well as a battery system to maintain the forcefield until the container can be safely ejected. This also serves the purpose of containing the heat generated by the pressure, making the container safe to touch; and forcing the contents out of the container when connected to a load.

It measures 2 meters by 2 meters by 4 meters, and has a single, durable valve on one end, for connection to a device or for releasing the helium. The valve is made of the same material as the container, and actually pulls out like a hose to connect to the reactor or other vessel in which it is to be emptied.

With the protections in place, this method of storage is meant to make this fuel source more safe to transport than flammable hydrogen or volatile antimatter energy, and is also refillable. However, the cost of refilling it at full pressure is slightly higher, unless one uses the Link Siphon or Stellar Link Siphon. As a result, these may be a bit more economical when purchased from MFY or the Star Army of Yamatai.
