Founded in AF 15 along side the Abwehran Progressive Party, the Conservative Party was comprised on individuals who valued the old ways of the Verdienstorden. However, they differed from the dictatorial government in execution and the value of individual rights.

When the Abwehran Star Empire was formed in the fifteenth year of the After Freedom Era, two political parties were formed from the founding parliament. One would go on to be the driving force of the Empire: the Abwehran Progressive Party. The Conservative Party was the other and formed the “opposition” to the more liberal Progressives. While they weren't as popular as their opponents, they formed a solid powerbase that was able to counter the Progressives when possible.

As time passed, the Progressive Party actually became weaker due to the founding of the Abwehran Constitutional Party and the Abwehran Labor Party. But that only leveled the playing field even more rather than strengthened the Conservative Party. Today, the Conservative Party is second only to their opponents.

Formerly labeled with the social stigma of “fascists”, the Conservative party has come a long way from its beginnings. Today, they are seen as a power equal to that of the Abwehran Progressive Party. However, they can only make temporary alliances with either the Abwehran Labor Party or Abwehran Constitutional Party on certain issues. This weakness is all that really stands in the way of their ability to control Parliament.

The Conservative Party stance on current issues:

• Civilian Gun Ownership: The Conservative Party believe guns should be in the hands of law enforcement and military forces, not civilians.
• Dual Citizenship: The Conservative Party wishes to keep citizenship in the hands of native-born Abwehrans.
• Immigration: “The Abwehran Star Empire should stay Abwehran.”

The Conservative Party stance on current issues:

• Trade: Tarriff and non-Tarriff Barriers should be used to restrict international trade.
• Khorsovarolor: While they agree with the initial Quarantine and Occupation efforts, the Conservative Party believe heavier restrictions are needed.
• NMX-Yamatai War: “It isn't our war, therefore we should stay out of it.”
