Forums and topics that exist for for the story are “in character.” The term is short for “in the character's point of view.”

In-character posts should reflect generally only Star Army's shared imaginary universe, so they do not break the reading experience of other players (although some OOC notes on the IC events are acceptable such as ship numbers, damage stats, distances, times, etc).
